Jodimichelle,

You can go to AllTravelSizes.com - Hundreds of Travel Size Items in Stock - Travel Sized, Trial Size, Toiletries, Towelettes which is where I got most of my stuff from. They have BurnX single foil packets for .49 USD or BurnX Lite for .45 USD.
Changed my mind on the canvas OOT bags with our date and names. My dad managed to unearth a ton of straw hats imported from the Philippines about 3 years ago. Will be stufing those with goodies and using that as my OOT bags instead. Saved me time and money!

Thanks I will check out that site.

Ok Ok.. I am not going to panic yet..but I am getting a little annoyed. MY WC has been very good with responding to my emails within a week. It has been two 1/2 weeks since I received any emails from her. I am not getting nervous, but I hope she responds soon.

Don't get all panicky. If have been bumped around 3 different WCs since I started communicating with them October of last year. Try emailing a different WC. My current WC referred my questions to Maribel Blancarte who is actually the wedding assistant at Moon Palace. You can email her at mblancarte@palaceresorts.com

The wedding coordinators are extremely busy right now. I just got an email back from my wedding coordinator after 2 weeks and she sent the email at 1AM my time and 12AM hers... she said she was staying in the office just to keep up with all the emails. When I sent my question to Maribel who had worked with me before (to try to help my WC out) Maribel said for me to wait on my direct WC response. I got a response about a few days later. Honestly about 3 weeks up until your final date is when you will probably get the most attention. It seems like they have a wedding most days of week so they have to pay more attention to those brides onsite.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. You're right about how many weddings they have going on now. I'm sure my WC has a lot more pressing matters than answering my questions. My WC (Angie) contacted me for the first time March 27, answered two questions on April 1, and I haven't heard from her since despite a couple of emails I've sent her with questions. I even switched my package (to the complimentary one) and she never even acknowledged that email. My Miami coordinator sent me a new contract to sign & copied Angie on the email, but I haven't heard a word from Angie in weeks. I'm just not going to worry about it until the beginning of June.

My daughter is being married at Aventura Spa Palace May 20,2010! Her wedding planner, Yazmin, at Aventura Spa, has been fantastic! Yazmin actually contacted us in July 0f 2009. We had been in contact with Miami May and June of 2009. We were surprised that Yazmin contacted us so early. She has been so great. Everytime we have a question or concern, we sent her an email and she answers that day. We finally have all the details ironed out.

My daughter has hair and makeup in early afternoon, then wedding at 6PM in the Chichen Wedding Gazebo. We are having the long boardwalk that leads up to the gazebo decorated with white lilies, we will have a harpest, the harpest will play Canon in D as my daughter walks down boardwalk into the decorated gazebo, we selected the Sapphire wedding package, fireworks, horsedrawn carriage after ceremony instead of before so both bride and groom can ride around resort and get photos. We will have a 1 hour cocktail and hors d'oeurves reception on the Pandero Terrace with music system for dancing (they learned a rumba for their first dance). Wedding dinner in the ElGreco restaurant on the outside terrace.

We can not wait!!!!! smile159.gifsmile159.gifsmile159.gif

Interesting artle...and expected responses at the bottom. People's opinions vary quite greatly on the subject of DW's....but typically the haters are those who are either single or just can't afford to go and resent it. My whole family is going...my fiance's sister is coming and the rest are planning to attend an after party when we get back. No hard feelings...quite the opposite. We have given our families a reason to vacation and party!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
