I have Angelica we've only exchanged a few emails. I looked back and she usually takes about 5 days to get back to me, but I think I emailed her last Tuesday and haven't got a response yet. I just hope that it's because of the holidays and then afterward they're gonna be on top of it!! May be wishful thinking...

Wish it didn't have to be this stressful ! This is one of the reasons I opted for a DW !! My wedding's April 18, 2010 - I've had ZERO contact with ANY WC's . My final email from the sales exec. states " An onsite wedding coordinator will be in contact with you 3 months prior to the date of the ceremony" so I"m waiting for that date. Until then I suppose I sit back sad.gif

Hey CB! Here's the restaurants that my WC emailed me:

Restaurants In Nizuc

Manglar Rest. - Italian Buffet, Air Conditioning, casual dress code. (35 pp)

Palapa Delfines Rest. – Grill, open air, casual dress code. (25 pp)

Restaurants in Sunrise

Gondola Rest. - Italian Buffet, Air Conditioning, casual dress code. (35 pp)

Barrucada Palapa – International /Steak, a la carte, ocean front, casual dress code. (30 pp)

Fragata Palapa- Seafood buffet, ocean front, casual dress code ( 30 pp)

I've only eaten in the lobby buffet, after I had my amazing spa appointments there last December so I can't really help you much further than this! Also, I'm pretty sure the Grand side has more restaurants, this list is from 2008.

Hope that helps!

Hey Moon Palace brides! It's been quiet in here as of late... How's the planning coming along?? I've run into a roadblock censored.gif !!

We're having a hell of a time getting people to RSVP. Our problem is that we have a bit of a unique situation, where we have friends getting married in Playa del Carmen the same week we're getting married at MP. We planned things this way so all of our friends would be down in the area at the same time, and we wouldn't have to get them to shell out money to travel down there 2x next year. To avoid any issues, my FI and I (graciously IMO) told all of our friends that they shouldn't worry about picking who's hotel to stay at because no matter what we'll all meet for a group excursion and have fun down in Mexico, even if they miss our ceremony. Our friend's hotel is more reasonably priced as well as we were hoping for a smaller event.

The problem is that she's not doing a damn thing to reign in her RSVPs, and people are still hesitant about where they're staying or if they're even coming! I want to start getting my OOT bags more together, as well as send out pre-wedding brochures etc. to all my attendees!

Anyone run into anything like this at allhuh.gif?

If our friends are staying at her resort, but come to our ceremony do you think I should give them an OOT bag?

Thanks in advance, I'm going to post this as a separate thread also...!!!!!

It must be horrible to not have contact with your WC esp. since it is close. I would seriosuly start complaining. I kind of understand that it may take a week for them to respond, but they should seriously be in more contact w u. I hope it works out and I am sure this is not helping with limiting stress..

Anyway.. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

My fiance and I are working on our Passport invitations. I hope to have them done and readyand sent out by the end of Jan.

That's awesome you finally heard from them, mine's now on holidays until next week at some point.

Question to you ladies, are you doing your legal stuff at home or doing it down in Mexico?

We're doing a symbolic ceremony, and I'm contemplating have a family member officiate for us. I haven't asked if this is acceptable, do any of you know if it's ok?

People RSVPing.. They suck.. We have yet to send out our invitations, but we have a wedding web site and we recently sent out an email to log onto our web site and let us know if they plan on coming which room category would they be taking so we can block off rooms.. I had 3 people answer.. my parents, my in-laws and my close friend. Seriously annoying!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
