Moon Palace 2010 Brides!!

Hey, everyone!

 

THANKS for all your info! We have a few questions. We're thinking of setting a date in labor day 2010.

1) We'd like an outside reception for a large party. Maybe 80 people. Did anyone have trouble getting a space that they loved for this many people? I can't find pictures of the outside receptions. Anyone have photos?

2) Did anyone go down or is planning to go down before the big day?

3) Is 9 months not long enough plan? We want anyone who wants to come to have enough time. But I don't want to wait until 2011:-)

I am getting married the same day on the beach right after you, my wedding is at 4 pm!! How excited, how far along are you with the planning?

Ohhh not as far as I'd like to be, last weekend it was like a lightbulb went off! I've contacted my assigned WC and am still waiting to hear back. Claudia Martinez has been extremely helpful, so I might ask her to light a fire under my WC's butt if I don't hear back soon!

 

I've started purchasing things for my OOT bags but right now I'm mainly focusing on my AHR. It's taking a LOT more planning than the wedding has!

 

Also, I've been stressing about the Moon Palace photographers. Some seem to be quite good, but the more time I spend on here the more worried I get! I might fly down my photog friend to do our pics. Not 100% on that yet tho....

 

How about you? What are you doing for your photographer?

Ok I have to vent right now because i am just PISSED!! Some of you who are getting married months after me are in regular contact with your coordinator and mine haven't gotten a hold of me yet. It says to wait until 2-3 months before your wedding to start contacting them and yet I feel like I am getting screwed because I did!

Do you have a travel agent? Have them call for you and bug them. I would start calling on a regular basis and emailing.. Your wedding is close, but you do jhabve some time, but I would start nagging now.. they need to keep you satisfied. I also think that some people are in contact w the general weddings dep. like myself and not their actual WC.

If it makes you feel better, my co-ordinator still hasn't emailed me back and it's been a week. I would think she'd be very in touch with you though, yours is soo close!

I do have a travel agent and maybe she is working with them, but I haven't talked to her latley either. I was given the name Angelica and she didn't get back to me so wrote how mad I was to Claudia and she gave me Kalena- I emailed Kalena 2 days ago with questions and still nothing! Very frustrating!

So I heard back from my WC, and her name is Claudia Fonseca. She seems very nice, but because we have a really small group coming (less than 20 people) we are definitely not having a reception. We will do dinner but that's it. She's kind of pushing on me to purchase a reception. Not happening! Hopefully all of our correspondence isn't like that.

 

Would it be possible to call the resort to speak with her directly? I'd personally do that rather than wait to hear from someone, who's talking to someone else, and directing someone else to me etc.....
