I just had ANOTHER bridesmaid drop out of the wedding yesterday! I am seriously getting sick of people just deciding they don't want to come! UGH
OMG! Sorry to hear that! Everything will be okay.

Don't worry. If it is uneven...it will still be okay! :)

So! I have been assigned to Kalena Arroniz. Has anyone heard good things about her? Very exciting!

Rob- it is so refreshing to see the Groom on here! I will say that it has been very nice that Shawn has been very involved with wedding plans too!

I requested a site inspection as my Mother will be in Cancun visiting her Boyfriends family. I would like for her to be able to check out ceremony/reception options. She knows exactly what we are looking for and while the pics are so pretty, they only do so much justice! I am crossing my fingers that this will work out!

Shawn and I decided to go with the complimentary wedding package and then pick and choose the options we would like. I don't want to be stuck with one specific color scheme.

But I do know this.. I'm not sure that I can wait until a three months prior to the wedding to work out the details! We are both all about instant gratification!! Must Know Now! In fact, we were engaged and booked the site and wedding all in one week... lol!

That would be ME! :) Our wedding is at 5PM.

We have the best date! LOL - just kidding.

Have you been to Moon Palace before?

Have you had contact with your wedding coordinator? Where are you getting married? We are going to be at the Tuscan Gazebo and have our reception on the Tuscan Terrace (towards the Grand side of resort).

YAY!

Hey Rob! Congrads, and it is great to see a groom involved in the planning!

FruitCrush-

I am assigned Kalena, she has been very nice and somewhat helpful. But it is coming down to the last 3 months, and she has not responded to my emails quickly, she did "de-brief" me in an email about 2 months ago, stating that she is busy with her Nov. Dec. and Jan. brides. But she will make sure that the bride has the wedding of her dreams. I don't think we have anything to worry about, it is just hard to let go!

I've never been to Moon Palace before but I've heard so many good things. I've been in contact with a person from the Miami office, no one from the actual resort yet.

I actually have the Tuscan Gazebo too!! At 3pm. I wanted the Tuscan Terrace for my cocktail but they told me it was booked. Now I know why :) So instead, we're doing the Tuscan Venado for cocktails and moving to the Ballroom star for our reception. I wasn't sure how hot it would be and was afraid people would be tired of the sun after the wedding and cocktails.

When are you going there? We'll be there Tuesday May 25th. I wanted to make sure there's enough time to get whatever I need to get done with the WP.

So I just sent my invitations (which I hope to post this weekend), and people who said they were going to go after i sent my STD's, now don't know if they are going to go. It frustrates me because I told people almost 6 months ago and they still have 5 months to save up.

One of my aunt's, after I sent the STD's, told me I should have a bbq wedding instead of having a destination wedding. My jaw just dropped. Needless to say, she's one of the people who said she doesn't know if she's going to go.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
