Seriously, whats the $400+ for? Setting up? If anything, it should be a flat rate not per 10 people!

It is expensive! I decided to just do it because I want my guests all together for a dinner afterward, but I do think it's ridiculous! I will probably have between 30 and 40 guests, which is $1600! for 2 hours! I'm not paying for more time though. We're just going to scope out a fun music/dance place when we first get there that we can all hang out at after dinner. Anyone have any recommendations?

i know, i've been tooing and froing about it! i just can't make a decision. if money was no object i would definitely do the private event, but it is! i can't work out what to do.

do you know if any of the restaurants on site are better for your wedding meal than others? maybe some are more secluded so feel more private than others?

The restaurant in the SPA/Golf course area is secluded. Everytime that I have been there, it has been empty. Plus they have an awesome patio with a pool. You could have your reception there. Bring your iPod station and hang out. :) The only problem with that is that I dont know if the golf carts will be traveling back and forth from the course to the hotel.....? Maybe you can ask your WC?

I also love Mo mo na hana! I believe that they have the BEST food! :) and it's right by the disco! :)

what a brilliant name!! what cuisine is it? what kind of atmosphere?

that's what im finding hard also, i've never been to the MP, so i have no idea about what is best! in an ideal world i would like a restaurant which has fabulous food, where our guests will be 'relatively' secluded from other diners, where we can have a great time.

The swing bar is surrounded by a "lounge area". I dont have pictures of that, but here is a picture of us sitting on the furniture. It's really nice and comfy. I bet if you tip the bar tender, he will turn off the music that they have playing. *ohh and we are obvioulsy a little tipsy here- LOL*

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
