I live in miami and told her I would be more then happy to come in person and discuss since I save all my email corr. frm her...lol

What package did you pick? I chose the diamond one but I am really considering hiring an outside photographer?
No, we're having a civil ceremony. I guess that's why I couldn't fight for the 17th? I originally got the Emerald package but after some consideration, we decided to switch to the complimentary package and do some add-ons. We have a photographer and it would just be weird having two photographers at the wedding.

I really didn't care if people stayed at other places, but MP has a policy that only allows 20% of your total on-site guests to be staying at other resorts....so, if I have 20 ppl staying at MP, I can only have 4 ppl staying elsewhere. My TA is trying to contact the WC at MP because when I emailed them, they really didn't understand what I was saying. So, we will see.
I am dealing with this exact same issue and for the record yes the MP is VERY expensive, but I have been there and it is worth every penny. I had 20!! 20!! ppl book offsite and I have had to politly say "hey morons i can only let 5 of you on so far so start picking out who get to come!" They are all pissy and i keep saying.. sorry it was on our website-- you chose not to look at it. Good Luck with it cause I am struggling to get anywhere!

Is anyone else having problems with MP not honoring thier guests because of the way they booked? We have 23 ppl booked and because they are using RCI resorts and my TA they won't honor them and I don't get the cocktail hour.

Finally I wanted to post my invites because I am soooo excited that they are done.. I designed them and made everything myself. Let me know what you thinK!

The Catholic ceremony is done in a structure (chapel) that was blessed by a priest or something like that. The only difference is it is surrounded by glass instead of being open. So I wasn't fighting with you for it since your doing a civil :) Honestly I wasn't catholic and for the last year I have been doing all my sacrements (hope I spelled that right) because Moon Palace required that I was to have anything sent 6 months in advanced.

Who are you using for your photographer? I am really afraid that my pictures won't be what I want. I don't mind paying extra to have someone else but I think I have waited to long to book someone?

Hi, just heard back from Moon Palace ref getting flowers from an outside florist in Cancun. They dont allow outside vendors sad.gif . Really annoyed. I do wonder whether there is some way round this? I know they had this same standard line for outside photographers but some people have got round it. Maybe if I get my dad to go to the florist and pick them up and sneak them through reception? I am definately not paying $120 x 4 for them to be thrown away at the end of the night so may have to get silk flowers. Anyone have any ideas? thanks

Hi all!

I'm getting married at the MP April 18, 2010 at 3pm. Its been hard deciding on which resort to go with, but finally got that done. I just have to sign the contract and block some rooms.

I'm debating between Sapphire or Diamond collection. Blue and silver are going to be my colors for the wedding, so I guess both would work.

I'm planning to have a private cocktail/hors d'oeuvres right after the ceremony for about an hour. I guess in the meantime, new hubby and I will be taking pictures around the resort.

After the cocktail, the guests will go to a private reception (debating indoor or outdoor bc if it's an outdoor event, it has to come to an end by 10pm) where dinner will be served. And then the party will start.

During the cocktail hour, new hubby and I will be taking pics around the resort but don't want to leave the guests alone for too long. Do you think if 1 hour of photo session is enoughhuh.gif - i'm having trouble with this.

Hello

I am getting married July 3rd. I noticed some of the May brides to be already have their WC? I thought they assigned them to you three or four months before! Well good luck.

I read that someone is choosing between collections....When I first saw them, I got so confused. I am still a little unsure, but I believe the collection you pick -the colors that will be used in your wedding, and the package.

Happy Planning everyone..Hope to have nice long wedding planning discussions with everyone!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
