wow Jcim I LOVE your monogram! My TA also said that it is too soon for my wedding in August, that they have not released the packages yet. I am impatient too... but she said that she could ballpark the price and people could make payments to her because the final payment isn't due til 45 days before. Also I know that the flights are not available til 10 months out, so if you want a package with both they cannot do it yet. I HATE WAITING!!!

I have gather so much valuable information on this website to know exactly what I want or do not want. This website has really helped prepare me for the wedding of my dreams without having to travel there beforehand. Good luck everyone for I am looking forward towards my day in June 2010
Hey! Congratulations on your up and coming wedding!!

I have booked the wedding package but I am now thinking of cancelling it and just having the free one so that I can add the things that I like.

The reason being is that I found out if I want different flowers to what they offer I have to pay the full amount instead of just an upgrade which means I am going to be paying for everything twice! It's crazy!!

I too am using an outside photographer. Who have you decided to go with?

I don't have a written contract for the photographers but they're booked with my group and I have advised that they are professional photographers so the resort is fully aware that they are coming, and since they have done photos at the Moon Palace before and never had an issue I don't forsee it being a problem at all.

If the resort is saying you are fine as long as they stay the night then I personally wouldn't worry about it - just make sure the resort is aware of their reservation. If you are really concerned about it then I would just ask your WC to do up a contract stating that they are allowed onsite just to put your mind at ease.

Do you have a travel agent you are working with? If this is causing you major frustration this might be something they are better able to assist you with.
Thanks for the tip, that's a really good idea :)

Check out the flower options, they match each package... I am just wondering if you get more selection than this. I am still torn about fake or real. Some of these look so pretty... or I could just get plain roses or lilies... or have Roberta from Plumerias Wedding store do my flowers. I don't know too many options! Look at the bouquets and tell me what you think.

I either want the sapphire or amber package (FI wants amber I want sapphire).

FI also wants on the beach and I want the gazebo, just because it is going to be so hot next August! lol we will have to negotiate... he keeps swearing he doesn't care about anything then gets upset if I don't include him! Are your FI's like that?

My WP at Moon Palace has been nothing but great with all my requests for additional prices. She had gotten back with me through email within one to two days. I am getting the silver tiffany chairs and silver tiffany chargers for my tables inside the ballroom at Sunrise. I am planning to have ceiling drapery too. I am going for a more elegant look for the reception. I am anticipating 50-70 people so I figure it would be cheaper to have everything that I dreamed of in Cancun than having a reception at home catering to triple that number. I am planning to have real flowers but I have sent pictures of exactly what I want instead of the packages. I heard so many comments on this forum that stated that their flowers were not fresh or it was not want they picture. I also read somewhere that the colors were not right. But the common thread was showing them exactly what you want. I think that I will have silk corsages and boutineers. But the bridesmaids and my flowers will be real. I want roses/lillies/carnations. I am planning to have the flowers balls at the ceremony that will be placed near the chairs down the aisles. I also was told by the WP what the size of the red carpet was so that I can buy a monogramed runner to cover it. My colors are different shades of pink/ivory/platinum. My ceremony will be at Tuscan Gazebo and the cocktail hour will be at Tuscan Terrace. But the reception will be at sunrise. I have 1/2 my guest staying at sunrise and the other half at Nuzic. Happy Planning.... The time is running down.

Hello!

My wedding is set for April 16, 2010 at 5pm. We chose the Emerald package (which seems to be the least popular so far lol), but we both love green! Anyway, we haven't decided on a gazebo or anything like that as we haven't heard from a WC yet.

I did recieve this .pdf file of the gazebos if anyone wants to check it out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
