Is it ok to express my frustration at the rules of not being able to open attachments until you have reached a certain amount of posts?  This forum is full of an infinite amount of crucial helpful information and yet, that important content is blocked until you post 150 times?  I have to guess there is a good reason for it to be the way it is, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out.  Why would you want to hinder information sharing?  Would it make any difference if I just started a new thread, and just kept posting, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 until I reached 150?  That would only take me an hour or so, but it seems silly and unnecessary.  I know there are plenty of members here who are willing to share thier information via email (which I read a post earlier pointing out this is highly illegal (or at least against forums rules), but either way, I think the system to block people from sharing information is counter-productive to what the community is actually about.  If anyone can clear up for me what I am obviously missing with this attachment blocking system, please do.  As for those of you who have taken the time to write amazing reviews with ton of details and loads of pictures...I thank you.  Someday I will get to 150 posts, and hopefully soon after, I will be privy to this secret information.

I think it's designed that way to prevent spammers. On the April 2011 thread one girl got questioned because all of sudden she was extremely active. So your idea about a numbered thread probably won't work. I know it seems like it will take forever, I felt that way once upon a time. I think if you offer your opinion on the threads you read, you will be there in no time. Once you reach the 150 posts, it also takes a couple of days for your status to be upgraded.

Good luck planning!

Your rant while valid, I'm quite sure is backed with a very good reason and design behind this.  I personally do not have the time, nor do I wish to follow every single post, or I feel the need to express my opinion etc..where it truly isn't necessary in order to get to the 150 post.  So, I paid the $20 through pay pal which allowed me to do all that the 150 post would.  I think that this cost coupled with all that you would receive in return is very reasonable.

Sure is...I did this back in late 10' I don't recall how I did it (whether the option was under membership or something) but I did.  If you can't find the option, I would ask the administrators of the site, I'm quite sure they can point you in the right direction.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
