I like the lanterns but IDK, I like the tiki torches too but I do not want it to seem like Survivor, lol!!! I want it to be a party party and am just afraid that the lanterns would clash with a light up dance floor. Which goes better tiki torches, lanterns, or different lighting? I need help deciding!!! lol

Attached is the file with the decor prices(very little info), it has the prices for the linen:
Linens from 9usd to 28usd
Overlays from 14usd to 34usd
Chair ribbons 4usd

I have been writing to Lily directly, her email is lily@decocancun.com.I asked about packages but she said that they like to customize so they do not do packages.

These linens are considered standard when a private function is purchased or included under a group contract. The resort has 12 table clothes of each color with the exception of the white linens which can be provided for any amount of guests.
These are based upon the resortâ€s availability

sooo funny they stopped you about the real touch flowers!!! so how did you prove it?? besides the obvious ways I guess...how did you convince them to back off??

WARNING- the passport to savings pass is only given IF you do the 90 minute timeshare pitch tour- if you want it included get it in writing from your wedding coordinator or if it was promised print off what was agreed to. It was the ONLY way that we got it free, but it took me an hour and a half to prove it.
They do a really great job with the free wedding and I am really happy that I choose that package instead and saved the money. I upgraded to a shell and beachy cake, got the horse and carriage and also added the videographer and my total wedding charges was $595! I brought my own petals and a bouquet from Realistic Silk Wedding Flowers, Natural Touch and Silk Bridal Bouquets (people kept asking to smell my bouquet on the plane and customs stopped me 3 times to inform me no flowers can be brought into mexico or out of mexico, but I didn't have a problem with the freeze dried roses- I didn't mention I had them and since they aren't whole flowers I didn't feel the need to tell them about them. I posted photos on facebook so for you facebook users add me so you can see them (just tell me your user name on here in the message so I know who I am approving!) I will report more soon.

Kind of weird reading your posts...as they sound so similar to our posts just 6 months ago. :) Seems as if you all are getting along well with being assigned a wedding coordinator. I think only a few brides have really had some issues with this. Most of us were assigned a while back as well. Those of you who have Lily...she is way awesome. Thus far my experience with her has been positive as she responds to my emails within a few days each time....even when my wedding was 10 or so months away.

Is there anyone else on this thread with a different onsite coordinator assignment? If any of you aren't getting answers to questions...please do ask on here. most of us have been talking to our cooridnators for 6 months or so and have read every inch of this website. It is so addicting...I still look for stuff to this day.

For really great pics....check out the Del Sol photography sticky thread at the top. Del Sol has a few MP weddings in their collection that really show the resort. If I could afford them I would book them in a second!

Take care and talk with you all soon. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
