it is encouraging to see that ticket prices were this cheap at some point in the year...because my guests are flipping out with the 500 dollar prices for round trip being quoted right now...

Looks like they have flights out of NJ for $281 through Continental right now. I used Expedia Alert (you can download it from their site) on my computer to alert me when rates changed (up and down). I also went to the individual airlines themselves to see what their prices were when air went down. :)

Thanks for this Alison and congrats.  Your dress is stunning.  I love the setup for your reception.  I think I'm going with something very similar.  Did you order the chairs through Deco or are they included as part of MP's setup?  Odd question I know, but I've saw a price quote from Deco with chairs included.

It looked amazing and was completely worth it.  My only complaint was that one string of lanterns did not stay lit. In fact, I don't know if they were ever lit.

We did pay $180 for alter flowers during the wedding.  They then moved them to our cocktail hour (Tucan Gazebo) and then go the wedding reception by our cake table and guestbook.

Our wedding was a catholic wedding in the Immaculate Conception Chapel, beautiful.  Father Benito was interesting...

As for pictures try this link http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/roommapping/groupname=alieandpaulswedding/groupid=54641027/groupownerid=3265834027/  with the code word: wedding  This does have pictures of the entire week from guests so it's a lot go to through. I recommend Paul Gass's photos.  He was a friend there with a great camera and took a lot of wedding.  I will try and get mine up today but neither I nor the groom took pictures during the wedding. I think one of the groomsman had the camera.

me too!! My girlfriend had another wedding in la sbut she is from dc.

it was really nice to hang out and spend time with a few of my bms.

It made me more excited for the wedding.

It sounds like you have a lot of bms.

I also wanted to mention a few flight tracking sites. Bookingbuddy kayak fly.com are some good one I've used.

Thanks for this info.  I'm having the same problem.  Flights out of PHL have been staying right around $450 - 500.  I was hoping to get a better deal.

Be careful when booking with AirTran.  Everyone I know who booked through Airtran (including me and groom) had their flights cancelled or changed a few months later and the new flight times available were horrible.  We would have either had to stay an extra 2 days past our scheduled stay (and they weren't paying for the stay) or we would have had to leave the morning following the wedding.  Everyone I know who booked with them ended up getting refunds and flying with another carrier.  However if you are flying out of  LAX you might have a better chance than Columbus OH.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
