Good luck!

Who is your WC?  Mine will not respond and my wedding is 2 months away! I emailed her over a month ago and haven't heard back.  I want to reserve spaces for my reception and she won't respond.

My WC is Cristina and she's not the quickest either. I heard back from the contact at the spa quicker!! When  she did get back to me she already had me reserved for thr Gazebo ceremony which I don't want and only gave me the choice between 2 locations for the reception. I'm still waiting to hear back from her regarding that because I'm not interested in either of the two.

If you are going vegetarion Id suggest not going to Arricifes, its totally a place to savour different meats and game. Definitely not a vegetarian location. It does have a huge salad bar. Id be concerned at the quality of the salad dinner though! We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Los Corporales which is mexican food. Its a nice choice because maybe you can find more vegetarian dishes and they also serenade guests with mariachi. Very romantic!

There are 3 different gazebos. I do not remember all the names, but one is a catholic church gazebo and the other two are parallel with buildings in between (one in moon grand/nzuic side. Another between Sunrise and Nzuic). Moon grand is gorgeous in the fact the building looks very old spanish style, however the BEST beach is closer to the sunrise side because of the many shades of turquoise and dark blue. We got married on the beach which is direct in front of the Catholic Gazebo

I am not sure what you mean about stations? But if you get a cocktail hour you get a full bar with. Not sure if they also have cigars. We were tempted to buy all the men cigars for the cocktail reception and just hand them out, lol.

I have less than 2 weeks left to go and need some help!

I have a TTD shoot on an early Fri morning, and the salon at Beach Palace doesn't open until 8am!  I was hoping to meet the photog at 9am :(  Do you girls know anyone/anywhere in Cancun I could get hair and/or makeup done super early in the morning??

I could try and do it myself, but it might look a bit terrible.

Thanks for any advicehug2.gif

Hey ladies!

I am leaving today in about 2 hours! I am so nervous but excited! We have 4 suitcases FULLY packed and my FI is taking a smaller suitcase as a carry on, and of course I have my dress. I have called the airline 5 or 6 times to clarify... the dress counts as a carry on, but I can still have a personal item. My dress is MASSIVE so it should be entertaining walking through the airport. I also am wearing a hoop skirt under my dress and that was amusing to pack...I cannot wait to be in Mexico!

I emailed the person to make the salon appointments (Reyna) almost 2 weeks ago but she never responded! smile27.gif      My WC emailed her too and no response... NOT COOL! I hope it is easy to get the appointments there for me and my entire wedding party on my wedding day.

I have Cristina too and now that my wedding is a week away she is responding right away. They definitely give priority to weddings and are the soonest so that is why you have such a wait.

jackie i know that have hair/makeup artists that will come to your hotel if the price is right =) i dont know what your budget is...but do a google search for cancun hair/makeup artists. you could also try bribing them into making a teeny exception for you and open the salon a little early

congrats slapsappyhappy!!! hope the salon works out for you!

alison..my wc is claudia. she has been brilliant. if i was having the trouble you are having, i would CALL! and if you can't reach your wc via phone, talk to whomever you can and tell them you are having an issue. i know a lot of brides (futuremrsmoulton most recently) said they had a ton of communication issues and were so frustrated in the months leading up to the wedding BUT when you get there, they are amazing and have all your info in a file

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
