I found this link with a BEAUTIFUL wedding using the purple package, I don't think the girl is from this site but the wedding is so awesome and has the fire dancers! Now I want them even more. Moon Palace in December Pierre Visual Studio- BLOG

What do you think the best tactic for negotiation is, do I write to Lily and say
"You gave Veronica the centerpieces for this price and I want them at the same price too" or should I send her a pic and see how much she quotes and then say "well I heard you gave them to her for $63" I am not good at negotiating. I really want the decocancun catalog!!!
Thanks! I actually just e-mailed the girl I was working with at Deco Cancun a picture of what I was looking for, a tall centerpiece with various shades of pink flowers in a glass vase, and asked her for a quote. I wasn't picky about which flowers to use because if you choose flowers like orchids, etc... the price goes up. I just wanted to get the 'look' of my inspiration pic. I found even for their small centerpieces Deco is a little cheaper than Moon Palace. Since they were already doing my lounge furniture they just added the centerpieces to the order.

NO. There are only two stairway entrances up to the terrace and they were roped off with a sign that said "Campos/Chilson Wedding Dinner" so no one went up there except for us.... although.. later on while we were dancing some random guy came up there and said he wanted to 'dance with the bride' and my husband just looked at him with a raised eyebrow and we didn't see him after that! LOL!!!

AIRFARE SALE

I received an email from TravelZoo this morning announcing an airfare sale. Here is the introduction (cut and pasted):

ATLANTA--MAY 11, 2010-- For three days, airfare from Atlanta

has dropped to $49-$99 each way for travel through August.

This saves up to $150 off regular prices on nationwide and

Mexico routes.

Travel is valid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Click

the links below to easily see fares using Fly.com's Low Fare

Calendars.

Most of the flights on these three weekdays are $296-306 roundtrip for travel between May and August 2010. I don't know when the sale ends but here is the link for travel between Atlanta and Cancun:

Roundtrip fares to Cancun (CUN) from Atlanta (ATL)

I hope that this helps to get those wavering guests to commit to your summer nuptials! Travel Zoo listed other cities as well. So you may want to check out their website as well.

Thanks for the rooftop terrace info, Veronica! I'm getting married May 29th and am trying to switch my reception to the rooftop terrace. Not having a lot of luck waiving the fee...they claim it's stated in our group contract. Do you mind if I ask when you signed your group contract? I'm trying to pinpoint when the policy changed.

I signed my group contract in Februry of 2009 (we started planning over a year and a half before the wedding). We paid for the reception cost ($400 per table of 10) just not the extra fee to use the Caribbean Terrace.

VGirl's Wedding Slideshow
Hi Vgirl, your pictures are just simply beautiful. Your dress is stunning. I absolutely love it. Who is it by? Your pictures were especially interesting to me as your husband's height compared to yours appears to be the same as my fiance and me. I am planning on having over 70 for my wedding. Which part of MP would you recommend? Your set up looked very well put together. Was that based on your input or the WC's? Did you have to get alot of extras for your decor?

How hot is in it in Mexico in July? People have been telling me the heat is unbearable. I'm worried now since I am having the ceremony and the reception outdoors. The ceremony does not start till 5 PM and the cocktail reception will be at around 6:30 PM by the beach. Should I move it indoors?

I am getting married at Moon Palace in April 2011. I am wondering what prices were for April 2010 travel packages from Canada? I am getting rates just over $2000 right now, and wondering if I should wait for them to come down a bit. The rates are a bit higher than I anticipated.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
