I'm expecting 30-35 guests so I'm just going to do either 3 long rectangular tables or 6 round tables. I'm using DecoCancun for the centerpieces so I'm trying to limit the number of tables as their centerpieces go up as high as $150 each.
Ooo how did you swing going with an outside vendor for centerpieces?
I'd like to do as few as possible 'cause they're kind of a pain to carry there. Thanks for the info, I was imagining rectangular, but like round too! So it's 5 people/round, and 10 people/rectangle?

It was actually my WC Claudia Sanchez who referred me to DecoCancun for other decorations. Lily from DecoCacun is currently working on a proposal for me regarding the decorations so I can't wait to see what she comes up with. You can visit their website Zúñiga Productions | Special Event Services for Groups and Conventions to see their work.

That's beautiful. I'm thinking curled hair pulled into a low chignon type style too. It's so romantic, especially with a strapless gown on the beach. *sigh*

(If they've changed it, then I won't have to order one to hide the red.)
You looked incredible! I can't wait to read the review!!!
Thanks SS! It was their aisle runner :) I don't think they use the red anymore. I'm getting started on the review this week so hopefully I'll have it done by the end of the week :)

vgirl: did you order the groomsmens pants from the same place you got your husbands suit from so they would match? (studiosuits) it looks like they match perfectly
Yes :) All of our groomsman ordered the pants from the same website.

We also ordered our centerpieces from Deco Cancun (Zuniga) along with our lounge furniture and stuff :) They were beautiful and under $75 each!! Although, I brought the pink acrylic crystals that were in the vases along with submergable floralytes myself and just had them add them to the vases :) The pink and green paper lanterns were also mine that I had them use instead of their standard cream/white colored lanterns.

You got 75$ centerpieces from DecoCancun?? They were quoting me $150 per centerpiece! When you used your paper lanters, did they still charge you $400?

Yes! Actually they were only $63 each (x5 centerpieces)! I sent them a picture of the style I wanted and they added it to my existing order. The total for 2 lounge set-ups, structure over lounge area (structure usually used over buffet area) with my lanterns, 10 fuschia lounge cushions, centerpieces with my floralytes and acrylic crystals and the setup/breakdown fees ($200) plus tax was $1100. Totally worth every penny in my opinion :)

That's not a bad price. My budget for decorations is around the same price range. Lily from DecoCacun is currently working on a proposal for decorations so I'm still waiting to hear back from her.

hey ladies I have a couples questions that I can't seem to find the answer to on the website...

does anyone know what the honeymoon package included in most wedding collections consists of?

are most peoples' guests booking their flights and hotel stays separately or as a package? and which option has been cheaper for people?

if I am hoping to book enough guests to qualify for unlimited private functions and 7 nights comp...do we have to tell our WC right off the bat, or do we just wait until we have that many people booked and then inform her and she can set up our free functions?

does anyone know if people that book with timeshares have to also purchase an all inclusive food and drink package...or is that of that included in their timeshare?

thank you all in advance for your responses!!! this forum is a lifesaverrr!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
