Is this for the private dinners that are $400/table of ten, or for the dinner reservation for 25 or 35 people included in the wedding packages?

How early did everyone start contacting their wedding coordinator? Mine said she would not be available until April due to attending weddings on site from Jan-April. I don't know how much of it I can start planning now...
You have plenty of time! Do all the things that you have "control over"- Example: Your dress, Your bridesmaid dresses, the guys outfits, color scheme.

Oh oh and as SOON as the flights come out for you date, telll and tell and retell all your guests, bc at that point the flights are at their cheapest! Hopefully, they will listen. No one listened to us and began complaining... but prices fluctuated, but within a decent time for people to get good rates!

Save the dates ?? did u do themhuh.gif

good luck

OK....I don't mean to alarm anyone....but just in case you haven't seen the news lately....the producer of the show Survivor has been accused of by the Mexican government of the murder of his wife AT MOON PALACE. Her body was found today in a gutter at Moon Palace in Cancun. OK.....so my guests are freaking out now. I've already heard..."Quite the up-scale place you picked Chelle!"

OK PEople...this is not a random killing...this is a domestic murder at a resort, which is what I am reminding everyone of. But seriously.....none of us really needed this to happen at the resort we are getting married at. Shit will happen....but Geez...why on my watch!

Had to vent. Sorry.

WHAT!! that is terrible! but you are right there is nothing we can do bout it. It is a domestic murder that has nothing to do with an actual murderer going around hurting people. Everything should be cleared up by the time we get there, right? I've definitely got to ask Kalena about this one....Very sad news.

Geezz. Terrible. So the producer of Survivor killed his wife? Wow that is horrible. Yes. it is terrible that it happened at Moon, but no worries. That does not affect us. Yes it is a gruesome story and yes we are getting married there, but our guests should have no problems. We live in a crazy world. I wonder, did he have a plan?? ugh so terrible.

I had a little bit of a freak out reading about the murder on Foxnews...but I'm better now! I talked with my TA about it, and she said the only reason you heard about this one, was because of who he is. She said she has heard of murders several times at other big resorts. This was isolated and that is the only good news out of the whole situation. I donâ€t think any of us have anything to worry about….but itâ€s still a little nerve racking!

So I am going to try not to think about it, and try to turn that stress into thoughts and prayers for the family of the lady who was murdered.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
