I got a quote from there too, but decided just to go with mp....I'm just going to go with the free flowers I/h2b gets, and only need to buy 2 other guys, 1 bridesmaid and petals for my flowergirl...so it was working out around the same price to get all that artificial, because of the p&p to the uk. And then there was the packing of it in our luggage...didn't think it was worth the hassle for us.

Not really sure on colour of flowers, not too fussed about that tbh...will probably go with the red roses I've seen a few brides go with on here, they look really lovely, and my dress is diamond white so will look gorg with that I think! :)

My colour scheme is orange, but don't want to go with that for our flowers...feel like it might be overkill!lol having orange flowergirl dress, bridesmaid dress, table runners and chair sashes so i'll give it a break on the flowers!lol my flowergirl dress will have a hot pink underskirt so think the flowers will complement that! :)

Just got our favors in the other day, and ordered my bridesmaid present....the beautiful bridesmaid book...so will get started on that when it comes in...other than that, not got a lot left to do sad.gif i've loved planning the wedding, so much fun! :)

LOL i know :) One of friends commented that if i had done a big wedding here in Miami and spent 50k - all the loosers would come because its easy. She said all the people who love you and danny will be in cancun!

Your pictures were beautiful!!!!

So I didnt know this and I dont think I have seen anyone post this information....but you can request rooms for your guests with no scenic views and it makes it a bit cheaper. I'm telling you all I have done everything to try and make it easier for the guests. Why I dont know...lol

those colours are gorgeous! so lovely and tropical for a destination wedding! gorgeous!

my dress is lemon in colour, so i have to really have a think abotu what colour flowers to have. I think i'll have the free bouquet from the package, but i'll purchase yellow buttonholes for the boys and mums and dads and i'll get a lemon bouquet for my bridesmaid. that makes more sense!

what are you doing for favours? x

My fiance's suit came in today and it's perfect!!! It's a linen blend suit we ordered from studiosuites.com I found out about it from other brides on this site and it was only $99!!!!! Crazy huh! The quality is great (from what he says) but I'll have to confirm that when I get home. My fiance is 6'6" so it was a little daunting trying to find him and nice inexpensive suit to wear in such hot weather. I'm so glad we have his outfit now!!! He's going to be wearing a guayabera shirt underneath and so are his groomsman. We got them at a shop in San Francisco on Missoin Street. :) I'll post pics when I get a chance.

We also got our shotglass favors in!!! I think they look great! :) We got those from Discountmugs.com

Yes you can get the resort view rooms. I think they are about $70.00 or so cheaper per night. Those are the rooms I reserved for my guest and left them the option to upgrade...

Veronica- Cute shot glasses!!

JoandDelo- Yes we recently found that out too! My guests are happier now! common area rooms

Should I be worried? My wedding starts at 6pm and 7-8 is cocktail and 8-10 is reception. I cannot extend this because it is too close to rooms?? 2 hours for reception is that enough?? What can I plan to do after? Since I have 75 days between my guests booked, I can arrange events.. what should I dohuh.gif

Makeup-I will prob have MP people do it…any suggestions on who to use??

Hairstylist- Any suggestions??

Readings- I Do not like the readings the Minister will be saying. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do?

I am in contact with my wc Angie.. she seems to be on top of things.. i sent her several questions I had and withint two days she responded!! So any future brides if you want to know what I asked to help you out, pls let me know.. and if anyone has sent questions to their WC please send it to me! I would like to see if I missed anything!!!

Invitations soooon to go out (Hopefully)!!!!

i love this website, what would we do without it?!?!

Mrs D to be those suitcase favours are sooooooooo cute! i love them!! and Vgirl17 i LOVE those shot glasses! i was considering doing personalised shot glasses as my favours (as we're doing a tequilla toast) can i ask how much you paid? i really wanted photoclip holders, with some kind of starfish, but i can't find any. anyone got any suggestions?

as for make up, i was going to do it myself. i usually use Laura Mercer so i've made an appointment with SpaceNK to have a trial. But i read on a wedding review the other day about a MAC shop in Riviera Maya and you can pay $50 per person (redeemable on products) to have your make up done there!!! i am trying to find out more, if that's the case i might go on the day of the wedding with my mum and BM to get ours done. That's a bargain!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
