Hoopchic, sorry about your experience with them. I hope you will get it and on time.

I'm going to look around for other companies as well. I think the hourglass is a great idea for the sand ceremony. :)

I think it is a pretty neat idea! I went searching online and found this other website that sells the hour glasses.

            Hope it helps!

Update on my last post about the hourglass from Heirloom Hourglass LLC. . . sorry it is a couple months in coming due to a family emergency.

We did receive the hourglass with 2 days to spare. Let me tell you first that the hourglass was amazingly beautiful and worth every penny we paid for it. The ceremony was beautiful and the hourglass made it that much more special. I see people saying they don't know if the money is worth it. . but honestly it truly is. We didn't have to worry about the sand shifting or spilling out of the vases on the plane and it is just beautiful sitting on our table. If your on the fence about paying the money. . do it. .you will be glad you did in the end.

As for the customer service. We did have issues getting in contact with the company. When we finally made contact, we were told that they were not receiving e-mails from my husbands comcast e-mail address. However they did start responding to my e-mails after a couple attempts, and did respond regularly. However, none of our phone calls were returned, so if you do order, I would say that the best way to make contact is via e-mail.

I don't know how to upload pictures on the site, so if someone tells me how I can or if someone would like me to e-mail pictures, I would be happy to.

Cool. I wish I thought of this before I ordered a normal type of vase. I even had it engraved already. oh well. Really good idea and no worries of mixing the sand if you girls can find a good vendor! Good luck.
