right there with you too! i think we all are in the same boat.

i needed new tires - $800!!!!! oh yea!!!

but just think about it this way - at least you had the new job to pay for the window. if not - you would be dipping INTO the wedding fund to pay for it. think about how much worse it would be! i firmly believe that everything has a way of working itself out. just keep saving!!

I am totally there with you. FI got laid off last year and it's been bouncing around from one job to another only to get laid off, business closing, lack of flexibility for school at each one. He finally has a great job and I just keep telling myself, it'll be better in a few months, by the time the wedding comes around we'll be able to afford all the stuff we need to contribute, etc. Then his truck's A/C goes out(its arizona, you can't not have A/C) and it could realistically die any day now because it's old, my insurance refuses to pay all my new medical expenses that have been coming up, and we have to move in 3 months! It's like we're barely juggling everything and keeping our debt from burying us, it just seems like one thing after another that comes up and the savings for the wedding is really suffering because of it.

Guess I'll just have to save the OOT bags and other little stuff until the last minute. And hopefully the deposits aren't too much or can be paid closer to the wedding.

Hope things start looking up for you money wise.

awww i think we all experienced this! it seemed like one thing after another (car repairs, speeding tickets, pay cuts at work, medical/dentistry bills), and if it wasn't us, it was almost everyone we knew losing their jobs ... we thought we'd end up with no one at the wedding! in the end it somehow all worked out. i think the pre-wedding stresses, especially the financial ones, are like mini tests of your relationship. you're not far off now ... you can do it!

Oh you poor thing, Not only to have to deal with the regular stress of planning a wedding but having to endure that kind of invasion is horrible. I am so sorry for you. The only thing you can do is be thankl it was not sorse. At least your car was not taken! But know that we all go thru something similar and somehow some way we all managed to find a way. You may not be able to see the way yet but it will show up eventually weather you realize it or not. So try to relax, keep looking at the bright side of things (that is one thing i have had to really try hard to do) and believe that in the end everything will somehow work out. For me this year it was a new vehicle and new tooth for FI (he broke his while eating some corn on the cob!). But I insisted that I was not going to marry a jock-o-lantern and therefore he must get his teeth fixed....OR ELSE! LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
