I'm so with you girl! I guess as it gets closer to the day we get more worked up by stupid niggly things! Just soothe, relax and have lots of long hot baths. I know I'm taking my meditiation candle out with me to my destination, just to make sure that I have something to focus on for the first few days while I run around ragged checking everything!

Have a glass of wine. I know I feel better after one of them!

MrsSparrow you could not be any more right!!! We just have to relax!!! Much easier said than done though. Sometimes the most frustrating part is having an idea and then executing it and it looks horrible or it just doesn't come out the way you want. That seems to be the case with EVERYTHING I have been doing lately. GRRRR!!!!

My worst thing has been arguing with my FI about cake. And it's not even the whole cake, it's whether (now, get this!) we have chocolate shards around the edge of the cake or whether we have chocolate curls around the edge! *sigh* stupid stupid stupid. I'm so looking forward to the day - that way I can stop overanalysing everything! :-)

I am planning my wedding for 13 months from now, but seriously I am considering just doing an elopement before the year's end; I tried to tackle the task of STDs and almost cried after 5 minutes. I can't find a reliable TA and I don't want to wait another 365+ days to be married to my hubby. It certainly is stressful! However, I am a firm believer of you get out what you put in and all you guys putting in a lot of blood sweat and tears into your wedding will no doubtly have an amazing event to remember.

Planning is extremely stressful, and the further you get into the more details that arise which adds more stress and less sleep. The good thing is remember your day is almost here, and all of that stress you've had will end up being well-worth it and you can relax and enjoy your wedding because when it comes down to it, the most important thing is that you and your Fi are happy and can celebrate your marriage with those you love! Make sure to remember why you're getting married in the first place!

I'm sorry it's so stressful! The good news is that I think most of us survivied it! muscle.gif

For me the worst part was about 3 days before - I had everything packed and ready to go, and I kept pouring over lists, opeining suitcases, double checking EVERYTHING because I was certain I was going to forget SOMETHING.

In the end, we got there and all of the stress, headaches, sleepless nights were not even there and it was wonderful!

Big hugs! You're almost there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
