chris, beautiful necklace.glad you got your dress and its ok.sounds like you getting there girl not long left.

susie, thats really crap what happened to your bro.you think your on holiday and things like that wont happen in a resort but i guess they do.you only have 2 more sleeps xx.

kristah,im so sorry about your news.its bad enough handling that at any point in your life never mind when its one of your most happiest times.im sure friends will understand.hopefully it will do you good getting out of the house?you know where we are if you need to talk.how you mention your grandpa thinking of that makes me sad sometimes.you cant imagine being with someone all of your life then being without them.im sure his loved ones will support him.

fmg, like ive mentioned i feel really odd at the mo its just surreal like its not actually happening?i think its because we have waited soo long?but like you say i then see my ticker and thing crap.i have 6 more sleeps in my bed yikes.all i can say is try not to overthink anything.totally understand what your saying and they are all the same.but think about it they are the same in everyday life and they wont change just for the biggest day of our lives.hope the sarcasm is coming through, just trying to say dont let it upset you hes just being a man.

If they can't or don't want to come that is ok....other people who care about me did:) I can understand though - she goes to all their stuff and now when it is something for her family they should at least make an effort.

Today is the friend shower....so my MOH saved that game she wants to play for today. Still waiting to see...have a feeling it is going to be something like "how well do you know the groom" with questions like who wears the pants.....hahaha....should be interesting! popcorn.gif

I will try post some pictures tonight.

Oh - Brooke - something I learned which may explain your used tupperware. My mom was going to give me one of her glass pitchers as a gift and told me. I asked why she would do that when they are hers and she uses them huh02.gif

Apparently it is an old tradition (my mom is 65 years old) to give the bride something used for her shower. It means good luck! LOL....when she told me that I immediately thought of you and the gift you got! FI makes fun of me (I think he is jealous) "girls on the forum this and girls on the forum that"....he is so right! Mom and I are talking and immediately I think of someone here and what happened to them!
hope you have a great time and will look forward to the pics.i am waiting for my friend to put mine on facebook i was too drunk to get my camera out lol.

I had an absolute BLAST last night at my shower/stagette! My gf's really know how to have a good time and celebrate. Super tired today, achy, and have a bad case of the munchies. I am allowing myself to eat anything I want today!!

Thanks for all the tips re:posting pics. Krista H gave me step by step instuctions, so hopefully this works.....if not, I have some serious issues....haha

Pics of my Pronovias gown- sorry my gf has the only pics of me in it, so these are the designers pics.

The front-I'm having the neckline altered into a deeper sweetheart

The back-I am having half of the train cut off because I feel like this is way too much for a DW.

Originally I thought that I would have a sleek, elegant dress.....but I just loved the spunky, sexy feeling that I got when I put my dress on. My dress fit perfect and didn't need any alterations, except for the changes I wanted to make.

Have a great Sunday ladies!!

Teneil your dress is like a dream!!! Wow, it's so beautiful! Can't wait to see pics of you in it. :)

Krista- sooooo sorry to hear about your grandma. I lost mine ten years ago, and my other one 19 years ago. It's really tough. I love what your FI said though, that she'll be there with you now. I really believe that.

Thanks for your wonderful posts!!

Beautiful Teneil!!

Raykel - I had a "how much do you know about your FI" quiz. I got 4 out of 11 - it was pretty embarassing, although the questions I didn't know I made up the craziest answers for...like for favourite animal I said gerbil. I was talking with FI about it and he's like the easiest things are the ones couples don't talk about - it's so true.

Two weeks yesterday we leave....so nervous and excited!!

Krista ... baby!!! Sending you my love and bigs hugs girlfriend... So Sorry to hear your lost.

Love your dress Teneil... classy

Chris I love the necklace.

Raykel... I did get that picture for you I am having trouble with my camera and the computer being friends and talking. My computer isn't reading the card. bummer....

On another note... The question you had about the villas... The ones facing the beach..

I am in 5 it face the beach however the greenry is so high that I only get a small view and I am on the second floor.

Villas that are on the beach are as follows: 32-23-22-12-5-4-1-34-35-39-40 the ones I like the best are... 34 35 32 they are right on the beach no obstructed view. Hope this helps my sunshine....

Have a great one... Shells are you counting the days babyhuh.gifhuh.gif??

TeNeil: I love your dress. It looks so fun and definitely a princess wedding dress!! Very cute.

Kristen H: I had the 20 questions thing too at my shower on Saturday. I did pretty good. I missed his favorite color (I have no idea how we never really discussed that), what he enjoys doing on the weekend the most (I said hanging out with me he said watching football), and who kissed who first (we were intoxicated so I assumed me, but he said him). It was funny. The question to how many kids do you want he said "2. (And don't let her get off track. I don't want to be out numbered. The can overthrow you.)" Haha. :)

Krista H -- so sorry to hear about your grandma. My grandma's been gone for nearly 7 years now, but it's still sad to think she won't get to see me walk down the aisle. I know I will feel her presence, though. Sending you positive thoughts...

Tricia and Teneil -- GREAT dresses, ladies! It's so fun to see what dress every one has picked out. You all look fantastic...

Raykel -- thanks for the support re: dress fitting. Things went just fine for me last Thursday. The seamstress just has to do the bustle (difficult to do with a chiffon gown), then I can pick it up this Thursday.

I can't believe how little time is left until I leave. I still have a few things to get done. Question for you Canadian brides -- for those vendors that don't take payment via credit card or money orders, how do you plan to pay? I don't like the idea of carrying around all that cash, either USD or pesos. It's not easy to get American travellers cheques in Canada, though...

Can't believe February is HERE!!!

Teshy, which bank do you go to. I use CIBC and there is no problem getting US travellers cheques. We need 6000 dollars and they said no problem. All it takes is three days for them to make sure they have enough to print off on. My sisterinlaw works at ATB and same thing there. I think travellers cheques are the safest. We are going to take some cash mostly for tips etc but the bulk in cheques. Good luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
