WOW! I just spent time at work catching up and feel a bit bad about it, but it was needed!

I had to share with you all that we "legalized" our marriage yesterday. I was having such mixed emotions about it, mostly because our parents do not know, nor will they. I really felt like that was our wedding and hope it doesn't take away from our mexico wedding. It was really exciting though. I didn't realize they do a little ceremony, I thought it was just signatures and announcement, when fi was repeating the vow sections he was all choked up and teary eyed, when it was my turn, I was calm cool and strong. We laughed afterward because it is usually reversed. We celebrated with our two friends, who are the only ones who know, besides our officiant.

I am unbearably excited! I wish we were getting on the plane right now :) I have my OOT bags pretty much finished, I think the only things left are my BD shots next saturday, packing, and writing seating names on sand dollars, oh and the song lists and final selections (thanks for the suggestions btw). wooo hoooo!

Ali, I wouldn't worry about the underwear thing, go and enjoy, there will be plenty of other time to bond, try not to let it get to you...

Brooke-hot hot mama, those are great! I may steal a few poses :)

Susie-Happy belated legal day, I am so jealous you are leaving so soon!

Well, I have spend entirely too much time here at work sad.gif I had better get going!

Happy Wedding Day to Teshy and Breens! Don't worry ladies I did the legal thing back in August and it doesn't make if feel real until I wear my dress and stand in Mexico and say our vows that we wrote to each other!

Thanks for the Michaels Idea Trish!

Ali-- I know after you see my photos you would never believe that I would feel ackward giving someone else underwear, but I would. There is just something person about underwear and I am sooooo darn picky at what I will wear and what I won't. Don't worry about the inlaws and pretend like its ok that they had plans (everything will go back to normal).

Susie- I can't believe that its coming up soooo quickly for you and I am so excited to see your photos!!!

Krista- That sucks that he is refusing to go to his own son's wedding. What a crap ass, but the mom has a valid point. If he doesn't want to go don't make him, he would be a downer the whole vacation!!!

Yes, I noticed it was on the website..hopefully in a restricted area!! The guests don't need to see all of Justin's goods. He is gonna love it.

Happy legal day ladies!!!

Breens -- Congrats on your legal ceremony! I, like you, didn't realize that it would truly be a "ceremony" with vows, but it was pretty neat to have that.

The Mexico wedding will still be so special, with so many of our friends and family, and the dress, and everything else, that I'm not too concerned about the legal day "taking away" from it.

I guess 1/20/10 is special for both of us, now!

Hey guys...sorry I have been MIA. A little stressed, but not too bad...till yesterday. I went to have my final fitting, which was really for mom and MOH to be shown how to do up the dress, bustle etc. They have badly damaged the dress. Bad. I was standing there trying not to cry or do a bridzilla on them as the seamstress is letting out seams with me in it - seams that until this point were untouched. They pressed the dress and somone was pulling on a seam while they did it and have stretched it all out of shape so now it is full of buckles and pulls - that she does not know if she can fix. So calling the manager today to have a chat. Shit guys. It has all been going too smoothly and this? Seriously it has to be this, my dress? I keep telling myself it is going to work out, but I am not convincing myself well.....poor FI told me I could just wear my underwear and it wouldn't matter. Sweetie. But um....I really would like to wear my dress that I paid for and with the hemming etc am now into for how much? Sorry guys I don't mean to be a downer....just kinda stuck here. Dangit I thought it was all smooth sailing at this point.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
