Hello ladies. It's 6am I made it through the night... went to bed around ten.

Oh Raykel I am sick for you hun... I had that happen a few years ago and I know the sinking feeling when you see everything being erased.

So it is my legal day, I am working from 7am until 3pm (another house getting ready for sale) My agent begged me yesterday to take on this project. I was about to say no however I am not able to get those words out of my mouth. I am not the least bit worried about tonight. for me it is feeling like an evening out with friends.

Now my mexico wedding is starting to freak me out... I leave in 11 days. I think I have everything done "I hope".

have a great day ladies, thank for the best wishes... I'll have a drink for my girls tonight.

I didn't sleep much last night either. We watched PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.... I was so freaked out all I do all night was this... monkey.gif monkey.gif monkey.gif

Today is big day for me.... my tailor is coming over tonight to add a loop/bustle to the underside of my dress since it has a little length to it. Then he will shorten the straps, add some beading and secure my veil to the comb. I had everything made in China and it's been so easy to tweak my dress how I want it. I haven't tried it on in 3 months, I hope everything fits. smile41.gif

Good luck to all of you on your last minute wedding stuff!

Hello Ladies..

Been a while... things are finally working out and falling into place!!!

Susie congratulations!!!!!! I made lists and have gone down the lists and

have almost everything done... even started those OOT bags... sent out our message in a bottle last week so people have been calling about booking..

The girls dresses are finally working out also... we finally agreed on one...and they are just going to go pick it up next week.

Flowers picked..cake picked..my dress should be coming soon... music is almost done.. groom has to pick out his outfit.. and then most things are set..I was reading about shipping your stuff to your resort.. The resort I am

staying at said they would hold stuff for me but that I should send it through a broker.. she gave me the names of them but I heard its very expsensive..so I rather pay 25 more for another luggage and drag everything with me... whew...its been a busy two weeks...

Hope all is well with everyone... and thank you for your help and advice...

I hope that everything goes well with the tailoring!! We all are anxiously awaiting photos!!

Susie-- I hope your legal day went well! I never told you guys this before but on our legal day I was so nervous I tried to put his ring on the wrong finger! See I needed the practice run badly!

LOL Oh Brooke! I was at a wedding this summer when that happened and it was so funny. It would be so easy to do!

I do have AVG....it rocks. However this is a somewhat new virus and the f#c$er got through. As soon as I realized what I had done I started ripping cords out and ran a diagnostic - which came back negative on the viruses. Apparently this one is not getting blocked yet. Ergo the vent last night, but knowing all you guys have stuff on order too - a heads up. Done some double checking and UPS would not ever email us that something was in. So no matter what any of us are expecting do not open a UPS email.

Side note - did not hear from the computer doctor today, so I am taking that as a good thing because I think if it was completely jammed up he would have called and told me. Here's hoping!

I went to some friends for dinner tonight - alone because Kel ended up out of town. They are huge ballroom dancers and have said they will help us come up with a routine and teach us how to look good doing if for a first dance:) I am so excited....they will work around our dumb schedules so we can actually do this! I can't wait....here we come Rumba!!!

I don't remember, but aren't a couple of the Feb 2010 brides taking lessons right now? How is it going and what dance are you using?

well i had the weirdest day yesterday.ended up crying most of the evening.im starting to feel a little nervous becoming a bit obsessed with my list (thats got silly little things on).went to meet my best friend and her sister who have offered to do our ahr food to go through everything.towards then end i realised how excited my bf is for us.we go upstairs and she shows us all the new clothes she has bought AND PACKED LOL.she has spent a fortune on new masectomy bras bikinis etc etc.i started to realise how special she is to me and thought omg they have paid £4k to come with us what would i have done if her cancer treatment would,nt have worked etc etc.i think its because both of our families (even though we are really close)dont seem that excited to them it seems its just another day?perhaps its because they have been hearing about it for the last year lol.so i just felt really emotional all afternoon for the first time.im ok again today and think i need to get the stuff done i should have done yesterday so i will stop boring you guys and get on with it.

Hi ladies,

I am married!!!! Brooke your right it is a big relief now that it is over.

I am hoping my friend sends me the picture because i am sure it will be the funniest wedding picture ever.

So!!! we're all sitting in the livingroom, I am on the floor infront of Mark and Jeff the officiant is sitting by Mark. Our friends are one loveseat and the other the chair which I have my back to. Ok so I am looking at Mark and he is looking at me and both friends and he is smiling away as he is saying his vows. Me I am just staring into his beautiful blue eyes and I realized "OMG I am marrying the man I love more than anything in this world'. I start crying, the tears are running down my face, Sweetpea my Aussie Shepherd runs to me and climbs in my lap and is licking my face all over. Oh Mommy is crying and I don't cry and she is just freaked. First she starts with her head to nudge Marks hand off mine, I think she thought he made me cry and she needs to stop him. So then I am holding up my hand and Mark is trying to put the ring on my finger and Sweetpea is pushing his hand away and then she just plants her head on my hand as if to say I am not sure what the hell your doing with that ring but your making mommy cry.

Ok the rings are on and Jeff announces us and Mr and Mrs Vanderwouw and the big lug off a dog (55lbs) is still sitting in my lap, lets out this huge yawn and tucks her head under my head like she is now bored and going to take a nappy in mommy's arms. We were laughing so hard. i would have made the best YouTube video.

We are heading out for our wedding breaky in a few minutes... I need to catch up on everyones post later today.

Seriously girls .... I Just Love you gals .... Thank you all for being there for me...

Shells- That is really cool that you have a friend who loves you so much that she is truely touched and excited to be a part of the day. Going through that procedure has probably given her a new outlook on life and how precious it is and you got a glimpse of how precious it is by reflecting on not having her there by your side that day. I honestly wish that we all had one of those humbling moments in life that make us appreciate who we are and what we have around us. crybaby2.gif yes I am all sappy and emotional with you right now.

Susie- Thank goodness I got to read your post next because I was laughing at the image in my head of trying to say your vows over the dog!! I take you mark and the dog to be my beloveds! I cant' wait to see the photosmile120.gif At least you put the ring on the right finger!!

Raykel- We have a salsa dancing video and we are not that coordianted at dancing together (doesn't help that I am 2 inches taller than him without the heels) We get all flustered and bang knees and step on toes, but its fun and we get to laugh about it. Hopeing in the next 37 days we can learn to salsa!

Congrats, Susie, on becoming a Mrs.!

Shells, I'm so glad your bf can share your special day with you.

Okay, so now my question is going to seem pretty ridiculous given all the heavy stuff you girls have been sharing, but I have had this on my mind now for the past day or two...

How are you girls ensuring against getting weird tan lines? I know many are tanning ahead of time, but my concern is that my wedding day is like 4 days into my trip, and there's no way I can stay completely out of the sun until my wedding day. My dress has a deep V in both the front and back. Any suggestions?

Not much left to do right now except confirm our legal date with wedding officiant. FI is supposed to be taking care of this...

Have a marvelous Sunday, girls!

Oh Shells you are blessed to have a special friend, it is times like that when we realize how wonderful these people are. You are a special lady and that is why she'd go to the end of the earth to make your day wonderful and why she is so over the top excited for you.

Brooke I was totally making my vows over the dogs head and she is trying to push the ring away from my hand. Poor sweetpea was totally confused as to what was going on and why i was crying... Then the "I'm bored' yawn right after. I love my sweetpea.

My Husband's(I love it) daughter just came home from her sleepover, so we have taken our wedding rings off again and back to normal... I am very calm and very happy right now.

happy sunday ...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
