We had an internal ultrasound at 7/8 weeks too. It is technically standard here that they check everything is in place where it is supposed to be. I had it without any spotting and that is what they called it.

Will be waiting to hear how it does. :) Maybe you will hear a faint heartbeat like we did during that one, they will listen for it!

Thinking of you!

Hey guys, so today has been stressful. Went in for my ultrasound at 9am. Sat there all by myself for over an hour before they called my name. I was in tears by the time it was my turn I was so stressed. cry.gif I shouldn't have gone alone, it was a pretty ominous experience. Worrying about my pregnancy and then on top of it you are laying there in a dark room with two strange men, one who has a wand up my you know what. lol The doctor in the room said he doesn't think there is any reason to worry that so far everything looks good and he thinks he saw a heartbeat but wasn't 100%. But, I just got a call from my doctor and according to the report they sent her, he says he did see a heart beat. So I'll just go with that. Also according to the report I am only 6 wks 1 day (not 7 wks 3 days like previously thought). huh.gif *weird.

This morning when I was getting ready for work I realized I left my bracelet at the doctor's office yesterday. I called a million times over and they don't have it. I am so sad because Eric bought it for me on our honeymoon and I wear it every single day. I told my doctor when she called and she said she would keep her eye out for it. Hopefully someone turned it in. Who the hell would steal something out of a doctors office?

Anyways, so that's my day. I am feeling pretty blue and just want to go home to bed. I don't think I am over from the trauma of this morning.

So when exactly is it you actually get to enjoy your pregnancy? monkey.gif

Oh Chris - I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I know how much it sucks to do things alone like that! I can't even go to the doctor's office alone. I'm such a baby. LOL! And I'm sorry you lost that bracelet. I hope they find it and call you soon! And you're right, who the hell would steal something from a doc's office?

Brooke - that's so cute that you felt the baby move! :) What a wonderful feeling to remind you there's a little life inside of you!

Breens - a girl!!!! YAAAY!!! I really hope I have a girl first. I'll just be happy with a baby period, but I secretly hope for a girl! :)

So ladies, I've been stressing out majorly!! UGH! THe AHR is a royal pain in the you know what! We invited about 120 people, and almost ALL of them are coming - 110 to be exact. We wanted around 100, so that is why we invited 120, thinking usually at least 1/3 of people say no. Especially because I invited family from out east, and Sean's family from west, and we assumed they wouldn't come all the way out here for just a reception. Well I guess we were wrong!

That normally would be fine except that our venue will only accomodate 100 people. Luckily we can get our deposit back, but now we have to find another place to have it! sad.gif It's proving to be quite a sore spot with S and I because this is not what we wanted at all. I have spent more time on the AHR (just little tidbits here and there) that amount to more than the time I've spent on planning for Mexico. This is the exact reason why we DIDN'T want to get married here because it's too stressful, takes up too much time for planning, etc. UGH! I'm so frustrated, and S's mom is "planning" the whole thing because it's supposed to be their "gift" to us, yet she told Sean the other day that she only has X dollars to spend, and anything above that we'll have to cover. She told us if we wanted liquor, we will have to do that ourselves as well.!?? WTF??

Sorry, okay, I'm done now. PHEW! I told S I will be so glad when this summer is over, we are married, and we can just spend time together and be a happy newlywed couple! :)

Chris -- I'm so sorry you had to go through that all by yourself. I totally understand being stressed and worried that everything will be O.K. Thinking of you and hoping things are just fine.

Sabrina -- a little girl, so exciting! Now you get to do all the fun baby girl clothes shopping!

Brooke -- how cool that you got to feel the baby move for the first time! I'm anxiously awaiting that, but I probably still have a few weeks before I can experience that.

Krista B. -- grrrrr! Frustrating that you have to find a new venue! It's too bad you can't squeeze in the 10 extra bodies. Are you having it indoors or can you move it outdoors?

Last Friday, we finally made our first baby-related purchases. We now have a crib, stroller, and car seat, and a pile of gender-neutral baby clothes. My hubby was the one who instigated the buying, which made me feel good, because I feel that it's still hard for him to get used to the idea of us having a baby, since he's not the experiencing the pregnancy symptoms. Anyway, he talks constantly to others about us expecting, which is cool.

Back to work again...

Chris- Well, I'm glad that everything looked good at that apointment!! I can imagine how stressful it must have been to be alone and havng the worst running through your mind. Luckily you got good news!! Positive thoughts! So, they were one week off of your guess? Don't they just go by your LMP??

Krista- UGH!! New venue?!? Not what you need right now! Luckily it will all be over soon and in the end it will be great!!

Teshy- How fun!! And the shopping has begun... :)

Yeah they do, but I guess it's not 100% accurate. It would mean everyone has a 28 day cycle and ovulates on the 14th day. I am not surprised actually by the new gestational date, because I had a feeling I ovulated late at the time and it makes sense why after three days missed period my pg test was still soooo faint.

Chris- I am sorry you had to go through that alone, when I read your post I wished we lived close together and could hang out and talk about all these things and give you a hug! well, here is a cyber hug for you! It sounds as everything is going well, so keep positive, it is good for the baby. I am sorry about your bracelet, I hope it shows up soon!

Teshy-Super exciting to start buying things, we are having three showers apparently so I was told to wait to make those purchases, but did begin shopping on registries. Funny how elaborate everything is and the decisions to be made! I did buy her a little "lovey" from me, it is a giraffe, with pink giraffe spots...but so far we are holding back on the other stuff...pretty soon!

Krista-Crazy stress with that AHR, I hope you can rearrange without too much hassle and stress. But-on the other end so excited you are leaving to get married so soon!!!!!

Well, just getting bigger by the day, will have to somehow get some pics up for you all! Also, keep us all posted on when you ladies are thinking about coming to NYC...October is around the corner!

oooooooh meeeeeeeee tooooooooooooooooooooooo. lol It was the best time!

Can't wait to see pics of your growing belly. Thx for your support too Sabrina. I think we are in similar situations... millions of miles away from our families and close friends. I tell you, it's days like yesterday I really need my mom. love.gif

Anyways, positivity! I know what I am going through is really nothing so far... until otherwise all is well and that's what I will focus on.

Our dear friend Krista said she'd look for my bracelet while in PDC. I  my Feb(JULY)brides!!!! I'll send you an email with a pic tonight!!! And like I said yesterday, dont worry about the AHR, it will all work out. Mexico is your real wedding and just focus on that. Everything else is just a bonus.

huh.gif Am I the only one who hasn't had her dressed cleaned yet? *soooo bad!

I haven't had my dress cleaned yet, either! I know it's pretty pricey, so I've been hesitant to do it. It would be nice to have it cleaned and boxed up, though, so I can store it properly. That hasn't been high on my priority list since we found out we're expecting.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
