smile67.gif I have officially started spring cleaning in my house!!!! We have a little snow in our back yard but thats because my backyard is all pool and it is one huge deep chunk of bloody ice. It keeps the snow for "oh weeks after everyone else is seeing grass". smile27.gif

Hola! I was also married on February 25 at the Bahia Principe (Akumal Beach hammock location). Raykel and I were in touch just days before we each left for the resort and exchanged photos of eachother. My now husband has a keen eye and one night when we were passing through the Tulum lobby he overheard a woman at the desk say the word "dress". He thought the woman looked like Raykel and poked me and asked if that was her. I told him it couldn't possibly be, but decided I had nothing to lose and called out her name. Well, didn't she turn around! I called out my name and we ran for a hug! Chatted with her for about a half hour in the lobby and then wished eachother well for our wedding day.

We saw Raykel one other time two days after our weddings. We were walking past the Tulum pool and I tried to direct my husband to go around the pool to the right and he suggested we go to the left. Good thing we went left because there was Raykel again! We chatted about our weddings and met her husband. They were leaving the next day and we were staying another week for our honeymoon.

Both weddings were wonderful - I'm sure Raykel will post soon. Getting back to the grind is tough!

I wasn't nearly as involved with this thread as many of you have been over the last few months, however, I am deeply grateful for all of the information/thoughts you have all shared. It was a major part of the success of our wedding. Thank you so much for your creativity and willingness to share!

I will be working on a review of our wedding and will post soon.

Cheers,
Sunnyee

Krista, pictures, no pictures?
I should be able to post some this weekend. I haven't been able to get together with any one that took wedding pictures (and now I'm in Texas). My photog told me she is almost done editing.

Weird thing - I go to Texas quite often for work and I love coming here, but this time it's weird. Maybe cause I just spent 2 weeks of non-stop time with the hubby, but this trip is difficult!!

Congrats, Sunnyee!! Hopefully we'll hear from Rayanne soon. I think the pool party at Sue's sounds perfect!!!

I hope that everyone is doing great post wedding and not having withdrawals too bad. :) On Monday when I went back to work I gave my hubby a kiss goodbye and started crying! Crazy wife here! I was just thinking about how I was with him everyday for 16 days and how I was going to miss him. Our AHR is on March 27 so I'm still finishing up last minute things for that and then hope life settles down a little!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
