I'll never forget for some reason the mailbox looked like it needed to be licked... and I left blood on it when i ripped my tounge off so my dad and mom knew exactly what happened! lol
I don't remember ever doing that myself... I do remember telling my sister to stick her tounge on the bus sign pole... She about 7 years old and I kinda freaked out and knew I was in deep trouble when she pulled it off screaming crying and her tounge was white where she made contact with th freezing pole. She ran home and told on me... I my defence she also stuck her tounge on the hot curling iron weeks before the pole lick. lol .

LOL!!! the mailbox looked like it needed to be licked... LMAO!

I stuck my tongue to the screen door - it looked pretty and frosty, and delicioushuh.gif Honestly I can't remember what compelled me to do it, but I sure learned my lesson and fast! To this day when I eat popsicles and they are really cold and they stick momentarily to my tongue I have traumatic flashbacks..smile41.gif lol

You girls have me laughing out loud tonight....

As for pregnancy plans, we want to start trying right away, also (like when we're still in Mexico). FI will be 34 in a couple of weeks, and I'll be 33 in July, so we feel like we can't really wait (not that we want to wait). I am a twin and my FI's younger brother and sister are twins, so the chances are decent that we'd wind up having twins.

Wedding day is 5 weeks from tomorrow -- yippee!

Thanks, I got that from a site called Wedding Dresses - Wedding Songs - Wedding Ideas - Bridal Shower they have a lot of great inspiration pics. Now if only I can figure out what to do with my hair!. I sat in Barnes and Noble and went through a ton of new bridal mags and I purchased one. I was trying to get some hair inspiration, but it seems all the designers this year are tripping on mushrooms or something because I don't understand these wedding hairstyles these days!!!

Yes yes yes, come to my wedding!! I will take plenty of pics I am sure. My bridesmaid thinks she is afreakin news reporter, I am sure she will have behind the scenes footage and all lol.

I can't say that I ever stuck my tongue on a pole, but I had the craving lol. I LOVE to chew on ice..*I know wierdo* and one morning walking to school the light post looked like a gooood piece of ice all frosty, but I got a flash back of that movie..a Christmas Story and remembered that it wasn't a pleasurable experience fo him so I decided to skip it. Still wonder how it would have tasted though.. what is the trick to escape the pole with your tongue in tact?? do you breathe heavy on the pole to get it to warm up so you can have you tongue back unharmed? OK clearly, I need to think of something else!!..

I am gonna wrap my new fans in my wedding colors.. I need to be going to sleep ARGHHHH

Yes... I started taking prenatal vitamins in August of last year. I threw out my BC pill in April and I'm ready to get knocked up! Ha-ha! We have been careful too. I keep my distance from him when I'm ovulating too. He is a year older than me so he is ready to get the show on the road. His little brother has 2 kids now! Time to get caught up!

Love the centerpieces Timberly! So lovely!

I got some bad news last night... FI's cousin's daughter (Stacey) is only 18 years old and she had to have surgery to remove a brain tumor Jan. 27th/09. It was found by accident she was having headaches reading and mom thinking her eyes needed to be checked, took her to the eye doctor. Well this poor dr. took one look at her and sent her to emergency dept, she was accessed there and then airlifted to Sick Kids hospital. She had surgery two days later. Lucky she was fine the surgery went really well and there was no complications. 3 weeks later she was home.

Last night we all got the email that Stacey had a dizzy spill new years day and they have had all the testing done and the tumor has began to regrow at a rapid rate. She had an MRI in August and there was a slight regrowth and the dr.s said "we'll monitor it".

Now she has been hospitalized and is waiting a surgical team to be assemble (they need a team of 4 because, they can only operate 6 hours each). Last sugery was 18 hours, which the doctors said was long.

Stacey's uncle and his wife are booked to go with us to the wedding. I am just so worried about Stacey and her uncle leaving the country when she just had brain surgery done. I am staying hopeful the surgery should be done before we leave and hopefully she'll be on the road to recovery before we leave. FI were in Punta cana last year when she had the surgery and it was so scary getting that email and being so far away.

The really sad part is she is now 18 and she can not have her surgery done at Sick Kids because that hospital is such an amazing hospital. Yeah feeling really "blah" today... Sorry gals I had to share with someone.

Oh my gosh Sue, I'm so sorry to hear that... sad.gif It makes me really sad that things like this can happen to such young kids. I hope everything goes well with her surgery. She sounds like a trooper, so I'm sure she'll be fine! My FI and I will be praying and thinking of you, her, and your family. Keep us in the loop about what's going on. Don't feel bad about sharing, that's what we are here for! We love you and support you - good times and bad!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
