I don't have a picture right now of my dress that I can access, but here is the url address to the website page with the dress. It's an Exclusive by Allure, style 2174.

I loved the dress because it's chiffon, so very "flowy", and the style works well with my figure. I'm wearing silver wedge sandals with the dress.

A little about myself so you girls don't feel like you're chatting with a perfect stranger:
I got engaged in February of this year in Australia while my FI and I were on vacation. Our wedding is at the Occidental Grand Xcaret near Playa del Carmen on Feb. 16. We're actually doing a symbolic ceremony, as we wanted to get all the legal stuff out of the way here in Canada (much less stressful). Right now, it looks like we'll have around 30 guests. We're keeping everything pretty low-key; that's that way we prefer it.
I'll have to figure out how to post a pic of my dress. It's very beach-appropriate, I think; something I envisioned from the get-go.
Great to be part of this group!
Awesome!!!!!! I have been to the OGX it is a very nice resort... you'll love it... I was there 5 years ago an had an amazing time. FI and I are doing the legal stuff home too... Just easier.... we getting married Jan 16th here at the house.. we have a couple coming that can not come to the wedding to be witinesses... They have been told this is a to your grave secret... damn how easy I can tell you gals lol.... It is very exciting because we are all so close to our day.. Once xmas is over this is going to hit us so hard... I am the first in our group... I will have my netbook with me and will keep you gals posted for the entire trip.

Oh my gosh!! You ladies are all toooooo funny! I haven't been on here for a while...just planning away..well ya and that thing called work gets in the way of fun planning!

We have 48 adults, 4 kids booked already! Crazy! Thought it would be small but everyone is choosing to fly, fly away out of the cold! The tight group of friends from when I grew up as a child to great new ones & close family are all looking forward to this trip of a lifetime!! Mexico here we come!

58 days until we take flight! Grand Palladium I hope you are ready for us!

This form has been awesome to show me new ideas for our wedding to make it different from Canadian weddings.

I tried to upload picture of my dress & wedding site but it doesn't like me!
Any suggestions for uploading or linking pictures into here?

Carly

By the way Sue, you crack me up - Canadian sentences end with hey...lol...they sure do! Or eh, I think that's an east/west difference. I noticed my relatives out east (I was born in Newfoundland, raised in Toronto), say hey? or right?, but out west, we say eh?....lol...

I lived in Korea for 3 years, and I met people from all over the world, and it's really interesting to see how different we talk. It's true that we all have "accents"! My favourite people to talk to were from the UK or Australia...sexy accents and unique words/sayings!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
