I know you guys are right about the selfish people who think the world revolves around them....it just sucks when it actually someone you were incredibly close to all your life until...oh about the time we start planning the weddingsad.gif But I agree it is our day and that is what we are trying to focus on.

The e party was good....given we had a blizzard the day before and had to shovel out of the house....and pick up a few people who only have small cute cars....we still had a pretty good turnout. Ummm yummy Pina Coladas. They were supposed to be a signature drink we shared with everyone, but I think about 6 of us drank them allblush2.gif I will post a few photos, but since the FI HATES having his photo taken, he won't be in many. I think that is the part of the wedding he is dreading...the photos.

Timberly - you are such a sweetheart to go and do that shopping:)

I'm thinking of getting real touch too. So...what will you do with the bouquet that's included in the free package at MP? Part of my considers just using that one, but still deciding.

Most of the brides haven't liked the free bouquet and have upgraded to the expensive ones-- I know the wedding I attended there the bride did and I thought the expensive one was pretty ugly!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend :)

Feeling kind of glum today, dont know maybe its the cold gray weather (I dont know how you guys manage the winters, I think I have seasonal affective disorder)...or that my FI is totally absorbed in football and has zero interest in the details of the wedding.

I moved to the east coast, 2 weeks before I met him (2 years ago this week) and so have made zero good friends here (I have my mom and some nice coworkers but I also work alone a lot so its very acquaintancey )... ie no one within driving distance to share the little wedding details with.

Today I found on this website a wedding coloring book (personalized and printed out for the kids), DIY beach bookmarks (cute and cheap), and created a Superbowl (we r getting married superbowl weekend) crossword puzzle- with this cool program... took me like 2 hours to make and was so pleased with my work and he has NO interest... not his fault but doesnt help my gloom. If anyone is interested in making their own, let me know and i can find the links. I think the guests will appreciate the thought.

I am so happy for you Shells that you enjoyed your boudoir shoot :)

Timberly, that was really sweet of you (I second or 3rd or 4th it)

I looked for Erika myself- last post 11/24? Im sure she is just out there catching up on jet lag and enjoying Asia (lucky thing)

Id love to hear how real touch flowers are. The only flowers I am taking with are freeze dried rose petals. I think we have purchased about a gizzillion of them to toss and for decoration on the tables (which will just have a glass bowl with sand, shells and a candle rather than flowers because I blew the flower budget on the real flower bouquets)

My free bouquet is fushia orchids and the bridesmaids are peony pink, so my grandmother is having the bouquet in her room as a flower arrangement. I know she will be touched (my mom practically started crying when I asked her if it was a good idea)

Our beer koozies arrived the other day. Got my FI to design them... they say- Alison and Austin got married and all I got was this damn koozie 2-6-2010... ha ha

We also start dance lessons this week. We dont know what song for though- thats a whole nother story. What are you guys' first dance songs- do you know yet?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
