Welcome! :) Now to answer your question... I personally think 5:30pm is way too late. It all depends how dark you want your ceremony to be. My ceremony is at 4pm two weeks later and I am worried that that is too late. On my day, the 18th, the sun is scheduled to set at 5:50pm. Keep in mind that's full down, no more sun so it will start to get dark 20 min. earlier, with full blackness by 6:10pm.

On your day it says the sun will set at 5:40pm... if your ceremony is ten minutes late... you'll be getting married in the dark.

It's okay to be nosey about this! I have 14 people booked and 4 more for sure that need to book. Dress is getting altered and I pick it up next week. The only real thing that I have left to do is jewlery not qute sure what I'm going to wear yet. I do need to get one more pasport though which won't be a problem. One irritating factor is that the coordinator is still very hard to get a hold of many time's and I need to talk to her about this dam deposit other then that things are going very well. Bridesmaid and Junior bridesmaid have their dresses.

Funny someone should mention place cards, lol I decided to do them and I am ordering them through Ana so they will match our invitations. I am kind of killing two birds with one stone, because for favours I am getting maracas... which will also function as the means to get me and my FI to kiss. So I am having tags made where one side will have the guests name and what table they are at, and the other side will say: shake for a kiss. I will tie them to the maracas and have them all placed on a main table at the entrance so everyone gets one and everyone knows where to sit. We are a total of 40 people and I think assigning seats just helps everyone. Otherwise it will be a big mess. But that's just my two cents. I have everyone seated together via family and I have one table I call the 'shit mix table' LOL because it's all the spouses of the bridal party, my sister-in law, a cousin and the photographer. It's also the youngest table so watch- they'll have the most fun!

Now here's to hoping to last minute guests book, because the cards will be all messed up then! We are 5 perfect tables of 8. No more room! LOL
This is such an AMAZING idea!!! I never would've thought of that. Where are you getting the maracas from?

Well I was considering ordering some online before I go and bringing them with me... but truthfully, I don't want to deal with customs... so I think I am going to just buy them when I get there. I know that my resort's gift shop sells them for like $3 each... *which is more than I want to spend... or I can go into Playa Del Carmen one day and buy them there for really cheap. That might stress me out though... so maybe I should pre-buy them. I really haven't decided yet! LOL

I think these are real cute and really reasonable:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
