Ok i am the old bag on this thread!!!! lol I don't care.

I do if it interesting that all of you ladies are in your 30's and getting married for the first time. Mature strong women!!! I was 18 and stupid when I first married and trust me it was brutal and I stayed for 15 years. I started dating him at 15 years old!!!!! My step-daugther is 15..... Holy Hell what was I thinking?

I just think you ladies are at an age where you know what you want in life and can stand up for that. It's been great getting to know all of you...

I am going to see David Cook tonight.(american Idol winner 2 years ago). My Gfriend and I are doing a cougar date... Two forty somethings cougars waving our bras at a 20 something cutie pie.... lol... I would never wave my bra around someone could get hurt.

Raykel... I have to ask... when is your birthday?!?!? Maybe we are birthday twins!?

As far as registering, we registered at Target & Bed, Bath & Beyond. Both registries are pretty much bare so we are telling people if they MUST get us something a Home Depot gift card would be appreciated. We are half way through with remodeling our house. The only thing left to do is get rid of our 20+ year old appliances. It's bad, my stove is the GE pukey gold color... ewwww!!!

I don't think I could ever register for things I didn't want so I can take them back to the store after the wedding. That is just too much work in my eyes! Wow!!!! So, people really do that!?!? Unbelievable! huh.gif

We are hoping to get prego soon after our wedding. We aren't getting any younger and our clock is ticking away... tick... tick... TICK! lol

Awww... you talk like you are 65 years old or something! From looking at your picture, you look in your 30's and your hubby-to-be looks older than you! Come on... you are one of the spunkiest, funniest, sweetest brides I know! Age is only a number, just remember that!

I bet you are the coolest stepmother ever! I have a stepmom and she was pretty cool while I was growing up. She used to make me clothes, braid my hair and play lots of board games with me.

Have fun flirting with your "boy toy"... hee-hee!

It is weird that people register for things that they have no intention of keeping. The stores that we registered at even eluded to that idea! We will NOT be doing that. :)

Shellk- you mean you don't want to go to the bars with your veil and phallic straws?!? Haha. Just kidding, I'm with you! I have no idea what I will do for my bachelorette party yet. A couple of my friends are having babies right before that so it may be another good reason for them to get out for the first time in 10 months and have fun!

no i cant wait for the dressing in tacky dress up pink stuff its walking around the bars.rito no thankyou.

we have,nt registered anywhere.i know how alot of people on here feel about money as gifts but we bought our house and near enough rebuilt it.so we have absoutely everything we need except for nice back garden which will hopefully be done next year.so i have put on the ahr invites that we really dont want any gifts as their presence is enough (tacky i know) but my family is quite old fashioned and i know what they are capable of.so if they want to give us anything its up to them.

we only have 2 bedrooms and the spare is for when friends stay not a storage room for stuff we will never use.we have a wardrobe full of silly gifts jons family has bought us over the years.

Shellk, Im with you on not being that into in a drunkfest style bachelorette party... maybe in my 20s, but I dont have the alcohol tolerance anymore..lol (well does wine count?).

I dont have a whole lot of girlfriends where we live now and all of my best buds will be with us in Jamaica, so my MOH is throwing a lingerie shower on our first night and I am really looking forward to that - so nice to see everyone..

Finally talked to our WC today... and got some prices and the atmosphere in the house is much more relaxed this evening:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
