Sabrina- Yes! I want to see some pics!! And I am with you. Majorly missing lounging in Mexico with a drink in my hand!

Chris- I got mine cleaned before my AHR and it was EXPENSIVE! I think $260!! So Tony says that I can't get it cleaned again. Haha. I am going to, but going to try to find a cheaper place. I want to sell mine and I'm assuming no one wants to buy a dirty dress.

Hi ladies! I hope my dress cleaning won't be that much! YIKES! I'm assuming I will have to get mine cleaned before our AHR.

As for the AHR, I don't have the option of squeezing in 10 extra people because their fire regulation limit is 100....

Anyway, I'm happy about it, because we are going to find a place that will do all the setup/clean up for us, so we don't have to worry about that. We will just bring our own centerpieces that I'm making, and maybe put up some lights/tulle on the headtable and that's it. We also have to see about a DJ I think. so much to do! I really may as well have gotten married here for all the work this reception has become! It's craziness!

I didn't have my dress cleaned yet either, and I have plans to get it sewn into a baptism gown...we'll see how far I get on that project!

Also, just as an FYI, my dress was sparkling white after my TTD session. No joke the bottom hem was all black and gray after the reception and after we took it in the water it was white again! So those of you with AHR, maybe just take the hem into the water :) I know, dangerous when you have to wear it again, but I have heard that so many brides say their dress comes out cleaner after being in the water.

Breens--- Congrats on the little Girl... that is just so exciting, now you can start getting lots and lots of pink! Any ideas on names for a little girl? If we have a girl ours would be Megan (after my bestfriend) Lillian (after my great grandmother whos wedding band is now attached to mine)

Teshy-- It doesn't happen everyday but at the most random times and it is pretty cool!

Chris- You must have been so stressed, glad it turned out ok. Hope they find your bracelet. Sad! You can enjoy the pregnanacy at around 12-13 weeks when the nausea ends and the showing stage starts!!

Tricia- I just wish I was able to go back and participate in a beer drinking contest with you again! hahahaha (or even have a beer or margarita at all!!!-- 6 more months!)

Krista-- I would just keep the venue and assume that 10 ppl won't show up, we had a ton of people who said they were coming and then didn't. Things happen!! I wouldn't stress about 10 extra ppl (just pretend they showed up and you didn't know!)

Brooke I would love to do that except they only have chairs for 100, so if 10 "extra" people show up, they wouldn't have anywhere to sit sad.gif And I'm pretty sure everyone who said they are coming will be, we called to talk to people to double check, so that we only had to move venues if we absolutely HAD to....and we do....oh well! It's actually going to be better this way, because the new place includes tableclothes, linens, setup, bar, etc, so we don't have to do anything except show up and leave when we are done! YAY!!!

Krista-- I am glad that everything worked out for you then. Thats a little bit of stress off your shoulders not to have to worry about any clean up (that was the worst part of ours was the set up and clean up!)

Chris-- I hope you are feeling better today and more confident that everything will be just fine! Every mommy is nervous at first and we didn't get to hear a heartbeat until week 12!

Uuugh, so I just want to cry right now...My mom and step dad just booked their tickets to come in December after the baby is born and they are only coming for 5 days. I know it seems like enough time, but I have lived in NYC for 4 years now and they have never come once to visit me and I feel like they could at least stay a whole week or so to spend time with us. Also, my mom has 2 1/2 weeks off during that time so it isn't a time off work issue. And they are leaving on the 22nd, which means they won't even try to stay for baby's first Christmas. It really hurts my feelings and I wish I didn't see the email this morning because I feel like it is totally going to ruin my day! Sorry, I needed to share as I have this big lump in my throat and no one to talk to and I have a meeting to run in an hour and I just want to crawl back in bed or in a hole...uuughh!

Sabrina, I'm sorry you're so disappointed. Do you think there's a reason why they're keeping their trip short? Maybe they're worried about encroaching on time between you, your hubby, and the new baby?

I understand what it's like to live far away from your family and not have people come visit. My brother and sister-in-law never once came to see me in the 3 1/2 years I lived in Minneapolis, and I've now lived in Alberta for nearly 3 years, and I have no hope they'll ever come to see me here, either. It really sucks.

Big hugs to you this morning...

Oh Sabrina, Sorry to hear that. sad.gif It is frustrating when people can't make the trip especially after so long of never having visited! Maybe you should talk to your mom and see if there is a reason. Like Teshy said, maybe they thought they'd be in the way for longer. You cold just mention that you're really glad that they're coming, but would love it if they could even stay longer. You'll probably be able to use a little help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
