Brooke, sorry to hear about Justin's grandfather. My thoughts are with you...

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I was able to get to the mountains and do some hiking, which is nice, since the further along I get in my pregnancy the less I may feel like climbing a mountain!

Last Thursday was exciting; I had my 12-week checkup and got to hear baby's heartbeat. I'm such a sap and totally teared up. It was an awesome experience. I have an early ultrasound this week, which will be exciting, too.

Brooke- sorry to hear about Justin`s grandfather. cry.gif

Teshy- that is exciting!! I have my first doctor's appt. next Monday. I am not sure what to expect!

I am feeling good. I suffer from dizziness (almost fainted a couple times, which makes me nauseous) but nothing too extreme so far... Only 6 weeks, so I am sure it will come! lol *Hope not.....

How was everyone's weekend?

Brooke- Sorry to hear about Justin's grandfather. I'm glad you made it home to be with him.

Krista- I do contract work with the military. I screen and do treatment on soldiers that are going to be deployed. It's interesting although I am getting a little burned out.

Teshy- Awesome!! How exciting! Are you going to find out the sex??

Chris- Good luck at your first appt!!

Oh Brooke I'm sorry to hear that! Sending you and Justin our hugs and love!

Chris - glad to hear you are doing well, but that sucks about morning sickness/dizzyness! sad.gif It will pass soon! :)

Aww Teshy - that's awesome that you heard the baby's heartbeat! What a moment! I think every new mom tears up when they have that moment! :)

My weekend was good. Had my stagette - it was wild and fun as it should be! I didn't get toooo drunk tho, so that's good! I hate puking so I was determined not to! LOL! I was dancing so hard, I probably just sweat all the alcohol out!

My husband and I both firmly agreed on NOT finding out the sex of the baby ahead of time. We both want to be surprised. I always imagined it that way....

Chris, I totally sympathize with you on the dizzy spells! Are you pretty tired right now? I couldn't believe how totally exhausted I felt early on. I still get tired more easily, but not as bad as before. The best thing right now is that the morning sickness has gone away and my appetite is much better. The heartburn sucks, though!

Yes Teshy! Exhausted! It's such a weird thing, I have never felt such exhaustion. :s I had a ton of energy yesterday so got a lot of stuff done in the yard but then fel asleep after dinner at 7pm, LOL The dizzyness is not so bad as long as I don't puke. I have never been a puker so I am hoping it passes me by.

Krista- speaking of puking good on you for not! LMAO YAY Bachelorette's! So much fun! What did you guys dohuh.gif I want the dirty details.

LOL! Well it wasn't that wild Chris, but it was a lot of fun! We got together early in the afternoon (around 1), had some food and games. One game was really funny - you partner up and one partner is blindfolded with a broom stick between their legs and the other partner has a toilet paper roll between their legs. The partner with the broom stick and blindfold has to open a condom, put it on the broomstick and then the partners can hold hands and use their bodies to try and manuever the stick into the toilet paper hole. It was SO HILARIOUS! I got it on video tape! It was super funny, because my partner was saying things like "hold on, okay, don't move, I can do it...." lol!! Super funny!

AFter games/drinks/food, we all went home to get ready for the bar and then we met up for pre-drinks before the bar, had some more laughs, they dressed me up in a penis veil and a bride to be banner, and gave me a bag full of condoms that I had to try and sell to the gentlemen at the bar. LOL!

The bar was fun, except there was another stagette that night, so I had to share! LOL! Actually it was okay, because there were lots of people, so it didn't really matter, and I guess, what do I expect, it is wedding season after all! There were also two bachelor parties that night too. Lots of partying going on!

We all danced like crazy - up on the speakers, with boys, at one point, they had three guys dancing with me on the speaker. That made for some interesting pictures! LMAO!

I'm going to see if I can get the pics from my MOH and I will post some on facebook. :)

Krista, your stagette sounds like it was a ton of fun! My stagette was mostly work people and was on a Friday night, so most people bailed by 10 p.m., after drinks/dinner. At the end of the night, it was just me and my future SIL at the bar. I'm not the kind of girl who likes the spotlight, but I kind of wish my stagette had been just a tad crazier!

Are you getting excited -- your big day is so close! By the way, if you'd chosen the day before your actual wedding day, you'd be getting married on my b-day...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
