Krista- I was looking at your photos this morning. SO fun!! What a great idea. You're friends are hilarious. I love all the signs. haha

Alison- I am soo going to watch your video tonight when I get home! Can you rub some of your not obsessing personality off on me? I only obsess those last five days leading up to AF but it's like I make up for lost time. :s Anyway... acros, oh how I hate acros, lol DPO is 'days past ovulation'. Learned that this week during my five day obsession trip. Sooooooooo thanks for the well wishes but it looks like Christina will get her drink on for another month. friday.gif cry.gif

YAAAAAAYYY!!! It's Friday!!! WO HOO!! I'm so excite for some relaxation this weekend, and of course, finishing wedding invites for our AHR.

So, kinda funny story, I went to have my yearly "ladies exam" yesterday, and I wanted to get some birthcontrol because I've been off for about 2 years, to give my body a much needed hormonal break! lol! Anyway, I need some to regulate my period because it's been all over the place and now I'm supposed to have it during my wedding week!! AAAAAHHH!! So, anyways, I'm gonna get the pills and time it so my period comes later.

Anyway, so the doctor asks me when my last period was and I told her about 2 weeks ago, and that it had come early by a week, so she says, well I'd like to do a pregnancy test just in case!! WHAT?! I started to panic, because I didn't know that could be a sign of pregnancy. anyway, I did the test and it was negative - PHEWPF! It's kinda funny because everyone is wanting to get pregnant, but not me, at least not right now! I'm half way into my masters, man would that throw a wrench into plans! WHOA! And I've never actually had a pregnancy test done before, so that made me a little anxious too, it kinda got me thinking, what if I was pregnanthuh.gif? YIKES!

Krista I saw your photos on facebook and that looked awesome!!! I love all the funny sayings/writings your friends did on that board, and their facial expressions to match! That was awesome! How did you pull that photo booth off? Did you set it up yourself, or was there a company/photographer that did it for you?

Have a great weekend ladies!! :)

Krista - I got the idea from a friend's wedding and then I got my photographer to do it. It was so easy. She set up a roll of photo paper (the white background) and she had some lights up and she just took the pictures. We started buying fun props around halloween and then when another occassion would come up we would head to the dollar store and see what they had. It was so fun and it's like a photo guestbook.

Chris - it will happen girlie - stop thinking so much about it!! I know easier said then done, but just enjoy the process of trying. You need to head down this way soon - come for a bbq and a swim. That goes for any one else that wants to head this way as well - the door is always open - unless of course it's closed and the lights are off :P

Alison - watching your video at work and it's making me teary. Great job!! What an amazing way to remember it all!!

Alison - I love your wedding video! It may me all teary!! Especially cause I could hear your hubby crying, and he tells you how beautiful your eyes are - what a sweetie!! :) And I love the part at the end when he kisses you and you can hear you say I wanted to kiss you the whole time, and he says you're beautiful! You guys are such a sweet couple!! I also love the part when your dad is giving a speech, and he says he's not losing a daughter, but gaining a son, along with a baseball team, two football teams, etc...LOL! Having a wedding video of your wedding day is so great! I hope my video turns out as wonderful as yours!

I got lots accomplished this weekend for wedding stuff so I'm feeling pretty good! I also took pictures! YAY! :) I completed my invitations for AHR, as well as shirts for me, maid of honour, FMIL, and my mom. I got my "i do" stickers put on my shoes, and also got started on our wedding ceremony script (about half done). I also did my ring holder - DIY seashell with bow and sand to match my guest book and pen.

Anyway, I'm going to post all of this stuff next month when I do my planning thread, but I thought I would post a few pics here as teasers! WHOA! I can't believe my wedding is only 8 weeks away! It seems like just yesterday I was living vicariously through you February brides as you were doing last minute preparations.

Here's my DIY guestbook (bought it white and decorated it with my own ribbon and seashells, same with pen), the ring shell is one that I got from Newfoundland (where my family is originally from - so that's my something old - and also special to me! - I decorated the ring shell using same ribbon as well. And my bouquets match also - were made by an etsy seller Click the image to open in full size.

Wow Krista! Your stuff looks awesome! Great DIY job :) I love the shirts! And your dresses are pretty, all looks great!

The parts you named about the wedding video are my fav parts too. It was so weird not seeing Austin the day of- we are always together and getting ready for such a big event was strange- but I LOVED seeing him at the end of the aisle (that part was awesome)... and he had had an emotional day (that was the closest to crying I have seen) so all I was thinking was that I wanted to give him a hug n kiss.... n my daddy gives a killer toast :)

Your day is going to be amazing!!

Krista- Thanks for sharing!! Love the hot pink shoes! Love everything actually. The t-shirts are really cute. I wish I had done stuff like that! Fun. :) 8 weeks!!! WOW

Yay Brooke your first appt.! So exciting!! My co-worker finally announced to everyone on Fri. that she is pregnant- she is 12 weeks now. She showed me pictures of her ultra sound... amazing you can already see the form of a baby. Really neat.

I'll have to wait another month to see if the stork will deliver me anything... aunt flo officially arrived on Saturday. LOL I drank my sorrows away this weekend.

Good news! I finally finished my office, so hopefully this week I'll have some time to go through all the pictures. Still waiting on the arrival of my Thank-You cards. I am thinking to just send those out empty now. I was going to include a picture but now I feel like just getting them in the mail. I suppose that's lazy of me, but I am also tired of spending money.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
