Hey Krista- our officiant made it very clear that we HAD to sign our names exactly as on our passport. Like no pressure or anything, lol to have them look the same. So uhm no, you can't sign with your new married name. :)

I like the idea of the punch bowls, provided they aren't too big and take up too much space. Logisitically it might be difficult to pull off... and you might have punch juice spilt all over your tables... something to think about.

Hey ladies thanks for the advice! I hadn't really thought about the spilling thing. Mmm...I'll have to check with FI's mom, since she is the one planning everything. I know she was planning to borrow table clothes from her church, but I don't think they would appreciate big stains on their table clothes. We may have to rethink this!

The other option is those lemonade/iced tea holders that have the cute little spouts. If you get a clear one then you can still decorate the punch with berries, lemons, etc and you will be able to see them through the clear plastic. That way, no body would be spilling....mmm....food for thought!

How are new mommies to be doing? Feeling okay?

Chris - Yes, I know that some of these women on the forum have been trying for a long time and they are very irritable but I've joined a few groups with 30 something woman TTC #1... so it's been very helpful since we are all going through the same thing. I've learned so much and got some great info/tips from reading their posts!

Brooke - I your ticker! So cute. Now we can keep up with your pregnancy too!!! AF isn't due until April 16th so now I have to wait till next week to see if we were successful! Thanks for th support and keeping your fingers crossed! Send me some of your magical baby mojo/dust!

Krista - I like the punchbowl idea but all I can think about is spillage, condensation and little kids dipping their hands in the bowls because it's so colorful and yummy! What about having one of those punch fountains and then people just stick their cups under the fountain and fill their cup up. I also liked those at receptions! When we got married at the courthouse (before MX) I signed our license with my "new" last name. It was the first time I was able to use it legally. And I can't lie, I did practice alot writing it before hand. I'm still perfecting it though. Good Luck! We are here for you!

Hi Ladies, just checking in...

Brooke, love the ticker, so cute... your baby is already smarter than Paris Hilton ha ha ...

Krista (July)... in Jamaica they told us to sign our unmarried names... I was a spinster and he a bachelor (doesnt sound fair!!)

Krista (Feb)... what part of FLA are you coming to? Id say lets do lunch but the chances of you being near me are pretty remote... the weather is central Florida has been to die for this past week. Low 80s and beautiful blue skies. Water temp is up to 68 already (we had such a nasty-for us- winter).

We not focused on baby making, our honeymoon is in 2 months :) Just following the fertility window and expecting itll happen sometime. I am finally able to run again after over a year with plantar fascitis and so we are enjoying that together (its one of our common interests).. and next weekend we go to NYC (my first time since I was a kiddo)... One of Austin's groomsmen lives in Manhattan and one of my GFs (who came with us to Jamaica) hit it off and are doing the bicoastal (LA NY) romance for a bit. We are all meeting up for a romantic weekend. Also my gf and I get all of Monday to shop while the boys work (very excited for that!)... Timberly, do you have a suggestion for

where to shop? Like more affordable than Gucci but not too bohemian? Wanna come shopping on Monday the 19th? :)

Hi Ladies! Thanks for all the suggestions about punch. I'm thinking I will not do it now...we are doing inside Timberly, but part of the venue is outside, like a beautiful fenced in courtyard that is attached and there's some seating out there, so the doors will probably be open most of the time. Mmm...guess I didn't really think that through so well! Ah well, back to my original plan of seashells and candles! :) Maybe I'll sprinkle petals on the tables for colour instead.

Brooke - that ticker is awesome. Especially the part about how your baby's brain is still tiny, but still has more brain cells than Paris Hilton BAHHHHHAAAHHHAA!! LMAO!! My coworkers probably think I'm crazy because I started laughing hysterically in my office!

So, it seems some of you have had to sign your original name and Erica had to sign her new name. I'm gonna start practicing my new name just in case :) lol

My classes are over next week ladies so you know what that means! Wedding planning overdrive!! LOL! I can't believe that it's exactly 3 months today to the eve of my wedding! I know I won't be able to sleep. I'll have to go for a 5 kilo run or something just to get my body to be tired enough to crash that night. LOL.

Anyway, next week, once my final assignment is done, I'm going to start taking pictures of all my stuff so I can start on my planning thread. I'm going to do it a bit at a time so that it doesn't pile up on me. My newest addition is going to be my awesome TTD that I'm buying from Ali! :) I'm so excited for it! I've been looking for a great TTD that is an actual wedding dress but not too expensive. And she purchased them from a charity, so I know the money went to a great cause!! Oh yeah, and two more friends booked!! YAY!!

Christina, any more pics to show us??

Krista- The charity ttd is awesome!! Wow its only 3 months. That time has flown by! I guess that me, Susie, Ali and Timberly better start to get our plans to go to mexico for your wedding together.

I haven't gotten around to my review or my planning thread and I am actually feeling bad about it but I just don't have the time with the move and everything. It doesn't help that my laptop is broken either right now. Grrrr.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
