Krista- I would personally wait until you actually miss your period. My doctor says that even though they have ones that advertise early detection it can still come back negative even if you are pregnant. So even if it says you're not you still might be... they are expensive, save your money. It's hard to wait but you'll get a more accurate answer.

Tricia-I love your cake pic! It looked awesome! And thank you for the FB add, I haven't been able to look at your photos, but will do so as soon as I can log in uninterrupted, at work :)

Brooke, yes, 400 is a ton of people, I hope you all have a blast!

Chris-Now you definitely have to email me your address so I can send you a package, you have to try them...like I said, love em or hate em. They are pure sugar! And it was funny you were up in the middle of the night, I was too. I never get up, but I was so exhausted at couldn't sleep at 4am that I got up and cut up strawberries, washed grapes, made a PB and jelly sandwich for my breakfast, and ate a few crackers, then went right to sleep :) ---Oh, and Paris sounds lovely! That would be so fantastic, we were supposed to go to Europe for a late honeymoon, and that's not going to happen now...

Susie-I am guessing yellow. I love many colors, and not to do the non-gender thing, but I really do love yellow, the brighter the better :) Let me know if that helps! I am so excited!

Hi Ladies! Happy Thursday! I'm so excited for the long weekend. I have sooooo much homework to do and wedding stuff to plan! I can't wait for classes to be over so I can devote all my evening time to wedding planning! :) For now, it will have to be sneaking time at work...lol!

Tricia that cake is gorgeous and HUGE! Did your guests even put a dint in that cake? :) lol!

Brooke your party sounds awesome!! I wish I could be there it sounds like a great time! 400 people and beer pong in a hockey arena sounds like a classic Saskatchewan wedding party too! LOL! We have most of our large parties in rinks or barns or quonsets. :) It's always a good time! And I'm sure with that many people aruond you should be able to "fake drink" no problem!

I actually have a funny story about fake drinking. One of mine and Sean's close "couple friends" were pregnant last year around this time, and we went over there for drinks. They were mixing drinks for us, and they were mixing drinks for her using a vodka bottle that they was empty and they filled it with water and just poured "vodka" and coke into a glass for her. So she was drinking diluted coke all night!! And we had no idea! She was less than 3 months so she wanted to wait to tell people and she wasn't even close to showing, so we really had no clue what was going on! Afterwards when I found out, I thought that was really clever! Anyway, thats my fake drink story. LOL...

Breens I'm glad to hear that you are doing okay and you are not feeling to sick. Don't worry about the emotional rollercoaster, we've all been there in one way or another! Just hold on and enjoy the ride! LOL! :) I'm sure, like weddings, having a baby is an emotional process, and every time something new happens, you'll be thinking, wow, I'm having a baby, and the realization of it will keep hitting you, until 8 months from now you hold your beautiful baby in your arms! :) Then you'll really be thinking WOW! This is real!! It's such a beautiful blessing so enjoy every little step, every little emotional bump, and every second of it! Besides, I'm sure your hubby loves the idea that you are emotional because you are carrying his and your's baby! wow life is so amazing isn't it? Sorry ladies, I'm just having a little cry here...I'm such a sap! LOL!

I'm so excited for all these wonderful events we are all experiencing!! Today is a great day! grouphug.gif

Quit that emotional sappiness I am at work!! ha ha ha ha

Chris - funny the people on your FB were thinking it was a baby or so it sounded like to me ha ha ha I was thinking I really don't think she would be announcing THAT on FB.

Beautiful cake!! We're getting a small one for us to cut and then a slab cake for everyone to have a piece

I'm so excited for our party!! A girl I work with, her and her hubby RSVP'd that they were coming. Just found out that they're getting divorced - they just got married in November. It's so sad. It's bad - to the point that they've called the cops on each other.

Krista- Thats terrible that they are getting a divorce already, but if they fight that bad then maybe its for the better.

We are definatly NOT feeding the people much, just some sandwichs, veggies and meatballs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of filling up some bottles with water and marking them for the bartender to serve just me from those! Thank you!

I am starting to get impatient about finding out, but its only 4 more days right!

A GREAT FYI for future mommies-- Employees who miss work because of severe morning sickness quailfy for FMLA leave even though the employee doesn't recieve treatment from a health care provider during the absence- as long as the absense doens't last more than 3 days. The info is right here FMLA and Workers Comp Information

Being that I have a 5 hr commute just to get to work-- I have a feeling that there will be days that I can't get there.

Yep Chris I do - for sure let me know if you're in town. We can get together for whatever kind of drinks we can. ha ha

Brooke - 5 hours? Are you nuts!!!!!! I used to commute 1.5 (2 or more in bad weather/traffic) and that got rediculous!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
