I am back.... it is 1.30am in the morning and i had to get a post off to you ladies.... Those of yo that are away I hope you get to read this before your I Do and those of you that haven't left... Listen to me..please....

don't worry about the details and how they fall into place... they just do.. Don't fret over who isn't there, celebrate who is. That moment when you put your dress on... Start breathing and take in every moment.... suck it all up and feel it!!!

I honestly absorbed every second of my wedding. from us walking to alter together, each and every step... Mark holding my arm and telling me "this is babe, we're here". Him holding my hands as we exchanged vows and him rubbing my knuckle as he spoke. I remember the sun on my cheek and hearing the roar of the ocean. I could smell the flowers on the table and i could hear my son's breathing and tears behind me. I never once thought about what was missing... Nothing was missing not one detail.. it was perfect. Just take it all in ladies... celebrate that moment and let go of the things you have no control over... You will not miss someone that let you down or disappointed you. Your dress will be perfect and your flowers.... It will all be perfect. Take little steps and enjoy every single second of your day.... Love you gals... nitey nite.... Sue

Sue - thank you for writing that. It puts everything into perspective. I'm at that point right now and I think it took my grandmother's passing to put me there. I have learned to pick my battles and let the silly ones go. Life can be short and if I keep letting everyone get under my skin I will not be a very happy person and therefore not have a happy marriage/family.

Any advice from the ladies who have gone and are back?

Well ladies, I am a sobbing inconsolable wreck. Due to the snow storm that hit NY I am stranded her until Saturday. I am turning my phone and pc off and crawling into a deep dark hole. I can't take people calling, and calling and calling asking for updates sad.gif. All of this planning and anticipation for THIS!?! I feel devastated. I hope the flight is not canceled on Saturday, I would just die sad.gif.

Timberley! I am here in NYC too and I am so sorry to hear about your flight delay. Maybe the airlines can work something out for you since you are getting married. Keep trying, I know some people that have pushed their way through when the going gets tough in these weather/airline back ups! Don't give up, and don't let your head down, it's going to work out...Wishing you the best of luck!

So I bought some frame charms and I'm putting both of my grandmas pictures in them and tying them to my bouquet. I'm also going to do one for my FI of his poppa with this poem (let me know what you think).

On this day of marriage

He is watching from above,

Along with our guests

He is witnessing our love.

Pin him in your pocket

Closest to your heart,

He will keep you calm

Whenever we’re apart.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
