I brought freezedried petals to Mexico last month and didn't have any issues. They were perfect for our flower girl to throw on the aisle and then we did a petal toss after the ceremony. I ordered from flyboynaturals.com and got a great deal on one of their clearance packages.

As for customs, I don't know if they will let you bring them in. I put my petals in several ziplock bags and spread them throughout my luggage in between clothes. And I didn't declare them on the form. I guess I took my chances, but I got lucky.

I am now a Mrs!! The wedding was beautiful & the freeze dried petals worked perfectly for the aisle! I had no trouble getting them into Jamaica. They came to me in a large plastic bag which I just put in my suitcase. Some of the petals got a little broken from the airlines, but overall they were still in good shape. They did not fly away even though we were right on the sand in front of the ocean with a breeze. I can say that they were definately the way to go cost wise and they looked great.

I don't know about Mexico, but check with your TA or WC. You can also check the internet. Just search for Mexico customs regulations or contact Mexico's embassy in the US. Same thing for any other country.
Did you end up bringing the freeze dried petals into Jamaica? Did everything go OK? I just ordered a sample of 4 different colors from petalgarden.com. It's only $2 for a sample and then they include a $5 off coupon so you end up saving $3 if you do place an order wtih them. I heard on another blog that the bride ordered samples from both flyboynaturals.com and petalgarden and that petalgarden was way better quality. I was going to go with flyboy just because their site looks so nice, but they don't even have the color I want, hot pink, right now. I am glad I did a little more research and found out about this other place. I will let you know how they turn out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
