Playa Fiesta - Average Costs?

Recommended Posts

I think that we booked our flight 3 or 4 months in advance... I can't really remember right now! I know that some people booked earlier and some a few weeks before. I say, keep looking and when you find a great rate, just book it!

Hi, I was wondering if you ever got clarification for the quote. I was loooking at their website and my Fiance really liked it, I did too, but I thought it would be much more expensive for a Boutique hotel. Can you let me know around what is the price range and if it is the $50-60 a night? Thanks for your help and COngrats on your engagement. :)

It is not that inexpensive... but if you want to get a better idea, the owners and wedding coordinators are from the US (California) and they can help you get a better idea on pricing.

Great, Thanks. I will contact them because I do need clarification with the process of choosing their options and such. I saw your wedding, it was beautiful.... You looked gorgeous.... Did you get a wedding coordinator? Thanks for the info.

Thank you!

When you have a wedding at Playa Fiesta, it comes with a wedding coor., and a very good one! Lindsay is the owner's wife. So Adam handles the booking, etc. and Lindsay is the WC. They are from San Francisco and are very detail oriented which is nice. Much more communication than you would recieve at another resort/hotel outside of the U.S. There is another WC, Melissa that was married there a few months after me. We met on this forum and she Lives in CA... awesome. It is nice to have quick responses to your questions, and past brides to bounce ideas off of.

Did you find the Playa Fiesta thread on here? It is in the Puerto Vallarta forum and has a ton of info too.

It's funny because I actually found Playa Fiesta from your posts. I had seen your gorgeous pictures and my Fiance and I really liked the privacy aspect of the wedding. I also liked the ceremony location, I want my wedding on the beach, but not on the sand, not barefoot should I say. Thanks for the info, I'm going to PV in August to check out some places so this one will definately be one of them.

I'm so happy I found this forum, super informative and great people who make the stress of wedding planning fun. Thanks again for the info.

Nice. I found Playa Fiesta through pictures on my photographers site... I was looking for the same thing as you said. How great that you can do a site visit! Make sure you contact Adam and Lindsay about your visit, they will take you on a tour, and do menu tasting, etc. You will get a good idea what to expect that way. And honestly, pictures don't do it justice:) Keep me posted!

I totally agree with you. Do you think it would be possible, Adam and Lindsay would be willing to work with another WC? I might be hiring another WC when we go but I know some hotels (like the PF) have their own, I don't know how that would play out. I don't want to waste money on a WC if I won't be able to use her? Also, was the outside area small? Is it big enough to fit tables and chairs? I am having around 60 guests, at least that is what we have so far. Thanks again.

I think the biggest wedding they have had is 110 so you are fine. And I also remember talking to Lindsay about outside WCs and I know it has been done. Just dont want to waste your time and money. Just weigh it all out before putting your money down, KWIM? I did hire Mishka Designs from this forum to do some of the projects I didn't have time to do: Maracas, placecards, menus... That would be an option as well. You HAVE TO meet Lindsay. Seriously she is amazing to work with. Well worth your time. I am so excited for you!

PS Lindsay is in San Fran for the summer:) And Melissa lives in OC I believe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
