gorgeous!! We're doing the same colors as you! :)  Did you bring those pink flowers with you that were on the end chairs at the ceremony? Love the way that looked!!
Thanks! Yes, we brought all the flowers except the bouquets and ceremony centerpiece!

Yes I used the sound system. It was nice to hear my entrance music way before the guests saw me. It also helped hear the officiant on such a windy day and with the sounds of people around. I would definatly recommend it. All the ceremonies that I saw at the Gazebo had the sound system I'm not sure if all the beach ones had a sound system though

Thank you for the feedback. My ceremony is at the beach. My fiance is refusing to say his vows with a microphone. I get were he is coming from, but I am worry my guestt won't hear at thing.

Lorena the WC corrected herself and the fee for outside photographer is $150. Way more reasonable.

For those that have been to the resort:

After our rehersal dinner, we want all of our guests to gather at one of the bars for a "Meet & Greet". Any suggestions on what bar would be good for about 30-34 people? I was going to do the Lobby Bar, but I figureed I would ask here for some insight.

Thanks!

My personal opinion is that you made the right choice... i feel like I would rather cut back on other things and make sure the music is great if i had to choose. I think people will be more worried about having fun than other little details.. and good music can really make the party. I also am curious about them announcing the wedding party and all of that because thats also what i want!! Anyone who is trying to decide btwn the DJ or no DJ, GET THE DJ... i also i remember hearing that you can email him way in advance and let him know your style of music and even give him a play list. if anyone has had the dj and had their wedding party announced.. let us know ;)

We don't really have room in our budget to be making such changes, but all in all I feel like it will save us the piece of mind. I won't have to prepare playlists and instruct someone how and when to cue them up.

For anyone who has used the resort DJs, do they have microphones? Will they announce your wedding party? announce the dances? announce cake cutting? Will they cater to your style of music? Are they pretty flexible? Do I just provide them with a timeline of events throughout the recption with approximate times?

Thank you for clarifying... I haven't contacted my WC yet regarding Del Sol. I will let you know if I am given a different quote.

My groom is wearing nice linen khakis and a white button down with rolled up sleeves.  The guys are wearing the same khakis but with an aqua button down.  Flip flops, too.  We're pretty casual.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
