Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

That is awesome!  That is exactly our plan!!  It's interesting..the more you talk to Brides (and Groom's) the more you find our most do Legal at home...

We are having a friend do our Ceremony..just not sure if he'll add the "signing" into his Ceremony or not.  I'd like him to just to make it look as Legal as possible!!

I went through the adventure photos website - contact them and request Anel. She'll send you an email through the dreams resort asking you to pick a package and put down a deposit or pay in full. If you pay in full now, you get to pay the 2011 rates instead of being charged the 2012 rates!

The package only comes with 1 hour of coverage: 30 mins for ceremony and 30 mins for a photo shoot so I opted for the full day package for $999 plus 11% tax.

Hi there! Looks like there will be a few of us brides there that week. We are having a very small group come (8 total) so I went with the basic free wedding package and I might add a few things. We are also having an 11am ceremony on the beach so we wont have a reception or anything. Just lunch and cake! Very basic but Im still super excited and love reading about what everyone is planning. Have you gotten much info from Gerente? So far I got pictures of the flower choices and thats it. I know the WC doesnt really start communicating until a couple of months before but Im so excited I want it all done now. Well I just wanted to say Hi.

Hey Latinive-  Congrats!  Looks like you had an amazing time. As I viewed your slideshow, I noticed that you had your reception in one of the ballrooms. My question is did they charge you for the curtains around the room? When I met with the wedding coordinator she told me its $1000 for the curtains but I think they are always up!!! I do not think I should be charged for something that is never taken down...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
