What are you all doing about table linens and chair bows? Does anyone know the colors that are available? I know they are a little expensive to rent and I do not know if it is better for me to get them on my own? I heard the colors from Ana are not too great! Help!

Table linens is the thing that I have struggled with the most actually. I had spoken to one vendor so far, our colours are coral/pink and tourquise and they really dont understand what coral means - my suggestion is dont just assume that they know what you mean but ask them to send them a picture to finalize

I am down to considering bringing linens with me, but I have asked Ana repeatedly to provide me with dimensions of cocktail tables, and the 8 person round table, cake table etc. and she is yet to respond - if anyone has this information I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks! Your 1st deposit? Like for the wedding.. with Ana? The reason why I ask, is she keeps telling me we will take care of everythign when we get there... and I want to pay now and get a handle of the budget as well.

I don't understand what is so difficult about this question??
Maybe the concierge would answer more quickly?
Sorry the conceirge? It hadnt occured to me to start asking other people, although I def. feel like I am getting to the point where I just want some answers, I do have lots of time, that being said I have been planning for 4ish months, and have less than 9 to go, so I know it goes by fast

I want the beautiful blue skies for my wedding, and am getting closer to sunset-- and am worried about the sky not being as nice of a setting. Thoughts?

Nelli & Ivica posted a review somewhere online about the wedding (I think maybe on facebook) and the reason why their pictures look so much brighter is because they had a photo shoot the day AFTER their wedding. It rained on their wedding day but the resort photographer was nice enough to give them a second photo shoot the next day so they could still have beautiful pics.... it is an added benefit of using the resort photographer.

I don't know if she has a toll free number - would be nice!!! I've actually never been able to speak to her, but my TAs have had better luck. The only number I have is: 011 52 998 872-9200 ext 7602.

I had to add a calling plan on my cell phone to be able to call to Mexico - Good Luck.

Hey there ladies, I'm Amanda....I need to vent! I thought this destination wedding would be easy...haha! I've spent (wasted) hours researching and stressing on a good resort for me, but afforable for my family. Now that I've fallen in love with DRC, I cant get ahold of this Ana. I've emailed like 3 times and no response for over a week, I feel like I'm stuck in limbo because if the date I need isnt available, I'm just wasting more time waiting for a response. Did any of you ever feel like just giving up?! I was hoping for a simple and basic wedding in August. This site has helped a lot but I got a little worried that my date wouldnt be avalable when I saw people that were already booking for 2011. Thanks so listening! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
