Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

I would tell them you want the price of photographer package etc when you booked your date!!! Or you will cancel it! Tell them that's why you choose their resort because if x y z and you will be having (number) of guests coming to the wedding bringing $$ to them! Ask to speak to the manager of the wedding department Claudia? See if that helps!

Just so everyone knows, I emailed dreams Riviera Cancun yesterday regarding rebranding the hotel to Hyatt and this was their response:

There are no chances to become Hyatt or any other hotel brand for Dreams Riviera.

Yes. The Dreams resort that is going to Hyatt is the Dreams Cancun. It can be confusing since the names are so similar, but the Dreams Riviera Cancun will continue to belong to AMR! Someone made a comment that they had heard that the sale of Dreams Cancun to Hyatt was in doubt, but I haven't been able to find any release about it.

No worries ladies on Dreams Riviera Cancun.

Hello Brides!

I am getting married at Dreams Riviera on May 12, 2014!! Has anyone been married here who has purchased favors locally? If so, please give me some advice on how you did this. Also, did anyone get married in the US before going to Mexico? We are debating if we should to make it easier. If you had a legal ceremony in Mexico, how long before you had all your paper in the US?

Thanks!

Hi guys!

We are trying to decide on photo packages.  Any advice?  We have the ultimate package which comes with 50 photos, but only covers the ceremony.  We were planning on adding additional coverage, but can't decide on how many total pictures.

How many pictures did any past brides end up with?  If we don't add them on with a package they will cost $17 per picture if we want any additional above the 50 included.  Crazy!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
