In the picture it lookes round, like it has couches all around, and does not have a roof- in the video which is the way I remembered it, there are poles, a roof, and no couches around. Are they 2 diff. areas ? If the link doesn't work you can youtube " dreams riviera cancun 10"... they are great videos of the resort ( i believe the bride was on here- thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

the reason I am being so crazy with this is because I love the picture I posted and want my cocktail hr there but I don't want to say Desire's Terrace and get there and it looks totally different.. hmm ...

One of the girls I think on the previous page said your picture was of Desiree's Lounge outside area, the nightclub of the hotel.  I think the Lounge is different from the Terrace and this is probably why you aren't seeing it with Desire's Terrace.

I was wondering if anyone will do/has done a seated dinner for your wedding?? If so, which dinner option did you chose?? Are we allowed to chose from all three dinner options (silver, gold and ultimate)?

I am having approximately 40 guests and I will really like to have a seated dinner. I think I read that as long as you give your WC the options for each of your guests a month in advance it can be done. If that is the case, I am going to include the options in our RSVP cards.

Also, if anyone has ALL of the Dinner menus, can you please send them to me? For some reason Lorena only sent me the Gold Menu for Ultimate Package and the Silver Menu for Love Package. My email is [email protected]. Thanks

Hey Noelle, I am having around the same amount of people ( i think ) and we are doing a seated dinner on the deck. Yamina confirmed 3 options with me.... a chicken, lamb chops, and steak.... I am putting it on my response cards and as long as I tell them a month in advance how many of each she said it was fine. I am waiting for an official confirmation from Lorena now before I order the response cards just incase of anything. . . but as far as Yamina ( my 1st coordinator ) went she said it was fine. Our first course is an arugala salad & then a pasta and then the dinner. I told them it was impossible for me to choose one entree for all my guests and my fiance reallly did not want the buffet..... ;) good luck!

Congrats! We will be the January bridescheesy.gif. The photographer you use is the one resort provides or the outside vendor? Do you know will the resort charge any fee if I decide to use the outside photographer?

The photographer is the one the hotel provides... I believe from seeing posts from other brides that there is a fee for using an outside photographer im just not sure what it is.

Hi Ladies, I am getting married November 19th on the North beach. So far we are a small group of 24. I have been on this site for the past year plus and have literally read every post. :0) This forum has been invaluable and I have a notebook with notes like you wouldn't believe (oh yes you would...haha)! My fiancee, Kael, and I are very excited to be married and so excited to spend a wonderful week vacationing with family and friends. I have the big things figured out...now just starting to play around with the small details. We arrive on the 14th and depart 22nd. Can't wait! Wedding: North beach at 3pm Cocktail hour: North Jacuzzi at 4pm Reception: pool deck 6-9pm After party: Desires We are only having our nieces and nephews...no wedding party. My youngest brother is a pastor so he is marrying us. :o) Just wanted to make myself known and wish you all happy and peaceful planning. I am using a TA from Denver who is amazing so have had way less stress than some of you. If anyone needs a referral, let me know.

Thanks Emily! Im pretty sure thats what Im gonna do!

I just want everything done already!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
