Gina, did you feel that having your ceremony start at 4 pm was the perfect time? Or would you have changed it to earlier or later?

Me and my daughter's, Bridesmaids, had our hair and makeup done at the spa. They did a wonderful job. But with 5 of us it took longer than I thought. They had apt at 10:30 and mine was at 11:30. I think we got out of there at 2pm. My wedding was at 4pm. I had Santiago as my photographer. He was amazing and wonderful to work with. My bouquet was beautiful. I was very impressed with it. I have pictures on my facebook if anyone wants to see them just let me know. I did get to see my pictures before I left and got the CD. But I'm still waiting for the slideshow. If anyone has any questions just aske.

That is so helpful! What time did you have your ceremony start? Im trying to figure out when the best time would be so that by the time our reception starts it isn't dark out already! Also, did you have a cocktail hour?

7:05/7:10 p.m. DJ begins introducing the wedding party, starting with the parents
      7:15 p.m. The first dance.
7:20 p.m. Dinner is served. The emcee calls 1 table up at a time spaced out by a minute or two (tables 1-8) beginning with the bride and groom.
8:00 p.m. The music is dimmed and MOH/BM/Welcome toasts are given as guests are eating

8:15 p.m. The cake is brought out and cut

8:20 p.m. The father-daughter dance, which is followed by the mother-son dance.
8:25 p.m. A dance set begins with more upbeat songs to entice most guests out of their seats and onto the dance floor.
9:00 p.m. The bouquet toss, followed by the garter toss.
      9:00 on Dancing!!

Like I said we extended it by an hour which was great because it took all 74 of our guests a lot longer to get through the buffet and we had a lot of speeches... so adding the hour gave us about an hour of just dance time.

        Hey Brides!

I am curious to know what type of room you all booked. I am trying to decide if I should book the Premium Deluxe Ocean View or the Preferred Club Ocean View.

I have emailed Lorena too and not heard back, but I guess we just all have to be patient. I hope DRC hires more girls if she is really the only one.

I think i am going to skip out on the OOT bags, i am not sure yet how many people i am having but it may be over 50 and it jsut seems like a TON of work but does anyone have any other cute idea I  can do besides this  ?

Also I want to order personalized fans and maracas for the ceremony, do i have to bring these with me, or can i have them shipped to the resort ahead of time.. i hate the thought of traveling with a million bags because i will be traveling with a 3 year old!

any insight would be appreciated :)

I've read that some people have opted to get their guests Gift Cards to the spa at the resort. Or maybe you could think about a happy hour Catamaran cruise. I didn't really want to do OOT bags either but i did anyway :/

I read in this board that all brides get upgraded, I got the the preferred honeymoon suite, but found it very expensive. But since all brides get upgraded I am hoping to get the Preferred Club Master Suite Ocean Front.

We had the Preferred Honeymoon with ocean view. All we had to do was walk on the balcony and there was the ocean. It was beautiful and we loved the room. It was room 1401

I don't know how everyone got upgraded but we didn't. We stayed 6 nights 7 days. We had the preferred Honeymoon suite and loved it.
