Good to know! Thank you. How do I pick/get in contact with an officiant?

I'm thinking the whole rehearsal will take a few minutes, then we go back to the pool :)

Hey everyone, I know I'm extremely late but I just discovered this site and thread and it is awesome! I am getting married at DRC on November 3, 2012. All this information is extremely helpful. Did any of the brides or are any of the upcoming brides brining alot of decorations with them? I was planning on it but now I am second guessing myself. Any other useful information anyone wants to share with me would be great!!!!!

I was asking Yamina about the style of our ceremony and vows etc and she told me to contact Linda because she would doing our ceremony. You could ask her for the choices. I think I got lucky, I read on here that Linda is great! Her email address is: aguilera07_50@hotmail.com, but maybe you should ask Yamina about her first to see if she is even available for your day/time. :)

So Yamina emailed me today telling me she got promoted and will now be working at a Secrets resort as of June 17th.  Sooooo my new coordinator is Lorena.  My wedding is in 35 days.  I am a little nervous.  Does anyone else have Lorena?  I will make sure I print out every single email I have had with Yamina and go from there I guess...

Wow.  You must be nervous!!  I'm sure it will go great though!  Especially if you are organized and know what you want and have it in writing!   Probably not what you need so close to the date!  32 days left until my wedding!!

Besides our clothes we need to bring down...

-My bouquet, 3 bridesmaid bouquets, and corsages/boutonnieres

-Sand and sand ceremony kit

-Wine stopper favors

-Beach towels for OOT bags

-20 Embroidered OOT bags

-Sunglasses for OOT bags

-All of the other contents of the OOT bags

-Welcome letter, itinerary, guest book mad libs cards, and programs

-Cake Topper * "I Do" letters

-Starfish place cards

-Menus

-Gown, jewelry, shoes, etc.

-Kevin's wedding day attire

I think that's it but it's very overwhelming!  We are also flying US Air direct but we will have to pay for our bags, I believe, so that sucks.  I am hoping I can do it by Kevin, myself, my mom, and my dad all taking an extra bag.  I will check the boxes that the favors and beach towels are in.  They will count as bags...then I will try to get the rest of the things in two bigger suitcases.

My main concern are my flowers.  Does any one have any suggestions on how to bring down silk/real touch bouquets?  I don't want to check them in a suitcase for fear they will get tossed around and ruined, but I will if I have to.  I thought about putting them all in a carry on bag.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I can't believe how soon my wedding is!

Hi LindseyM!

We leave in 18 days and I am beginning to pack as well.  I am putting my flowers in a small carry on bag.  I am nervous to have the flowers checked in too.  Try a smaller roller suitcase.  all of my flowers fit with bubble wrap perfectly.  Good luck!  We are almost there!  i can't believe it!

The thing that takes up the most space is definitely the OOT bags. I am also making a detailed set up list with photos to make sure that everything looks the way i want it to. I will post my review when we get back!!! YAY

Congrats and Good Luck!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
