I haven't been on here in a while. I still don't have my date booked as Evangelina hasn't responded to my emails until my travel agent called them.  Even then she just responded to my questions and didn't response to booking my date.  I don't understand wouldn't you want to get the deposit...i'm in sales and that's the first thing you would do and worry about the questions later lol.  Oh well I think i'm going to have to get some calling cards over the year to call them directly for anything important.  It's definitely frustrating.

Where in NJ are you?  We're in NJ too!  We're getting married this July!  I booked in person so I can't help as far as that goes.  I would recommend calling to book though.  Good luck!

Hey Everyone, My name is Buster. I think I'm the only guy on forum.  Oh wait, I think i saw a rick on here somewhere haha.  

 

We are getting married in a couple weeks at DRC and are really excited.  I just spent the last 5 hours or so reading about 40 pages of this thread.  Lots of great info and yes we have had all the same problems getting any replies or answers out of the wedding coordinators at the resort.  We are working with Evangelina and after repeated emails and phone calls to her from myself, my travel agent, my travel agents boss, and the apple vacations rep we finally started getting responses to our emails.  Although the answers are pretty vague most of the time and are written poorly.  My travel agent tells me that most of these resorts use email software to translate spanish to english which explains why many of the emails don't make sense.  While it was nice to know that, i doesn't make it any less annoying when they don't answer your questions.  I added myself to the list of weddings and tweaked the list a little to help future brides posting so we can find each other a little easier.  I don't remember who started this list but it was a great idea!  I'll add it on a separate post.

Hi Everyone,

 

I am new to this site but think it is going to be super helpful.  I can't wait to start reading all of the great ideas that everyone has down.  I am in the process of finalizing my date for May 2013 and have one quick question.  I want to get back to them as soon as possible since it seems like it takes a few days to answer any questions or emails I send.

 

Did you do the Symbolic or the Legal ceremony?  I have been trying to read up on it and can't decide.  It seems like more is involved in the legal ceremony.  Is that correct?  If my fiance and I go to the courthouse here and get legally married, does that make things much easier?  I am thinking that is the easier approach but I was not sure if we will miss out on something by doing that.

 

Thanks in advance.  Looking forward to your feedback.

Hey Ladies! I've been reading the forum for weeks and finally decided to join the discussion! I'm getting married November 8th and am SO excited! I'm having trouble deciding where to hold my cocktail reception. Eva is my wedding coordinator and after emailing her several times, her only response is the jacuzzi area for the cocktail hour. I'd like to see what other options that are available. Where are you ladies doing your cocktail hour and does anyone have any pictures of the different locations?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
