I definatly have been shopping for summer clothes. I have a lot of sundresses because I think they are just so wonderful. Its hard to put those clothes away though and not to touch any. I haven't found many white dresses though which is disappointing because I do want to wear more white. Where are you finding your summer clothes ?

I've been looking at Victoria's Secret!  I didn't order them yet but there's a few I like.  I also love JCrew and Banana Republic!

Thanks, this is super helpful. One more question, what type of chairs are used for the ceremony and reception. I need to know what size sashes to order.

Our color is purple.  More of like an eggplant/plum purple.  So far we have about 73 people booked which is a lot more than I thought would come! We put on our invitations to give us a reply by March 18th so hopefully people will let us know by then so we can really get a good number.  As of now we are booked for the north beach but I go back and forth with doing the beach or gazebo.  I think the gazebo looks great in pictures but I have always wanted to get married on the beach so I don't know for sure yet.  Other than that we haven't really done much else.  I have a whole email folder of ideas that I have gotten from this forum so pretty soon I will have to nail down what decorations we are doing. We are trying to figure out what my fiance is going to wear.  He really wants to wear a suit so we are probably going to go with a white linen suit.  I have seen some past weddings with pictures of grooms with white suits so I think it will look good.  I just don't want it to look cheesy!

But ya I'm sure guests would give you and your hubby some private time knowing that your recently married and wanting some private time. As far as I know we are having about 25 people, its still unknown because some people want to get those last minute deals and stay at different resorts, which I'm finding to be annoying because I don't know when I'll have the final number. What about you are you having lots of people or just a few? As for colours I'm going with a blush and an ivory/white theme. Kind of classic and elegant, I think I have some pictures on my profile. Have you decided on colours yet? We have also decided to get married at the gazebo because not only is it gorgeous with a beautiful backround, but it has the solid runway which is perfect for heels because the height difference between my FI and I is like 1ft 2inches! and we're hoping to have our reception on the patio. What details have you figured out so far?

that is a good idea to remove it for the reception.  I will probably do something like that then.

Oh eggplant will be nice and rich. 73 people is quite a bit ! are you doing a welcome dinner or OOT bags at all? Are you planning on entertaining your guests at all while they're down here, like an excursion or something along those lines? Because with 73 all those might be a little difficult. As for what my FI is wearing. We went to the Wedding Show and found a business that makes custom suites starting at $299. I however don't want a full suite but a tan coloured pant and vest combination. I think a jacket would be too hot and the vest would still make him dressy enough. And of course a white button down dress shirt. Is your FI having lots of input in the wedding or just letting you run with it ?

We aren't planning any group excursions just because I think that would be difficult to try and coordinate that.  We are going to do some kind of OOT bags but not sure yet.  My fiance really wants to get those insulated acrylic cups with a lid and straw and then put our logo sticker and a sticker with peoples names on it.  They are not the cheapest thing but he REALLY wants them.  So most of the time he doesn't have an opinion and lets me make the decisions and then other times he has a very strong opinion.  I originally wanted him to wear a vest also but he did not want to wear one.  We went and tried it on and I thought he looked so cute :) but he didn't like it so I dropped it.  I am not sure on the welcome dinner.  I think we are just going to have everyone meet at a bar at a certain time.  The wedding is already going to be expensive with that many people so I don't really want to pay for a welcome dinner when they can eat for free.  I can't believe it is 3 months til my wedding. It is starting to freak me out!

Hi ladies! I haven't been on here much since I started the wedding list and now it's grown so much!  Awesome!  I'm so glad you are all talking about wanting to wear white during the wedding week.  LOL...I keep saying that and wondering if it's silly, but now that I'm not alone I think it's a FAB idea:)

I have been getting stuff here and there for the wedding and wanted to sare some good sites:

I ordered cups for my welcome bags from www.crazyaboutcups.com and they are great.

I also ordered little charms from www.eebeads.com and they are really cute.  I got starfish, seahorses and sand dollars.  We are going to attach them to the placecards so people know which table they are sitting at.

I ordered our welcome bags from www.weddingchicks.com and they are AWESOME!

I'm still trying to figure out chair sashes...my colors are ivory, sand and a touch of seafoam.  Truthfully, I haven't really used the seafoam color much, and I think the chair sashes would look great in that color but everything is teal or mossy green...seafoam isn't easy.  THEN I got looking at some really intricate chair sashes and now I'm all obsessed with DIY'ing some with lace (we have a vintage theme) and starfish or something.

How's everyone's OOT bogs coming along?  Any great finds you can share?

111 days!!!  Can't wait!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
