Thanks so much for your responses- so helpful!!

Another questions- did you girls get free room upgrades for yourself? I wound up getting credits for free rooms which I used towards my stay but I then in turn got a more deluxe room. I was wondering if additonal upgrades were available for the bride and groom, if they are it doesnt make sense for me to pay for them. My travel agent tells me they aren't but who knows...

I am going to wear one because I know my mom really wants me to. It is really up to you. I wanted to wear a flower in my hair too---wonder if I can do both? I have seen a lot of brides on the beach wear them and a lot not wear them so I guess its personal preference.

I decided on no veil :) I'm going to do a pretty flower in my hair and leave it at that. I've seen some really good pictures of the veil in the wind, but I'm afraid it would be too much trouble! And 1 less thing I have to worry about buying and bringing with me!

Yea I want to wear a flower in my hair too and also don't know if it will be too much.  I always thought I would wear a veil and then when I went to buy it the bridal store made me question it.  I am probably going to look through pictures of past beach weddings

I am using the dj from the resort mainly because I think that is my only option.  I emailed discomovil and they said that they no longer could dj at drc.

per Evangelina you can get an outside vendor but you have to pay for a room.  From what I read on the forum somewhere they have a list of approved vendors.

Has anyone heard from Evangelina in the past week?  I emailed her to get my date book but I haven't heard back.  Since I want to put the deposit don't you think they would reply right away?  Oh well I assume they are busy and saw the date in 2013 and will reply to me when they have time.

Right now there is a promo going on that is book 6 rooms and get a credit for one room. Also, after you book 10 rooms you get one VIP upgrade - not sure what VIP means exactly though. most of the promos aren't valid on busy weekends during high season though, so if you're wedding is on may/June you might not be able to get a discount.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
