Hello Ladies...did any previous brides have their cocktail hour the night before?? I am wondering if im going to miss the cocktail hour because I will be too busy with photos and want my family in the photos also so they would miss it too?? or does the timing all work out?

I'm with you on doing the Love Package..I don't feel the Ultimate Package is worth another $700!  I would rather use that for more dinners..I did ask Ana if that means we have to pay for Ceremony Decorations - cause it's not included in any other package.  Haven't heard back yet..

I'm thinking of doing the "Love" package instead of the "Ultimate" which does not include the live music or video, and it looks like the smallest video package is $650.

Hey Stoff. I am getting married March 7th. I will be there the 2nd. We are suppose to meet with Veronica on the 3rd to go over everything. I have emailed back and forth just a little bit but, it has been difficult. I figure I will just have to finalize everything when I get there. I do not even have appoitments for the salon because, I can not get in touch with anyone.

Sorry, I should have clarified. The price on the Dreams website is not different; however, prices on other booking websites have increased in price. They are approx. $165/person/night on dates near the end of the year. I am hoping that the prices will decrease as it gets closer to December.

I don't mean to state the obvious, but for those of you who are having difficulty getting in contact with the coordinators, have you tried to call the resort? It is an international call, but I have contacted the resort twice this last week and I was connected directly with Ana. She was very helpful and answered my questions in about 5 mins. It will cost you a few dollars to make a quick call, but if it decreases your stress it might be worth it.

Why is the coordinator trying to charge me for the extra service fee?  Aren't we paying enough already.  Veronica said that we only get 3 hours of service for the reception and dinner and if it goes beyond that then we will have to pay extra.  I asked numerous times and Veronica is not letting me replace the cocktail hour for money towards dinner, she said that I can get an extra service hour but that's only 15 an hour per person compare to 26 an hour for cocktail per person, isn't that a little unfair.  I am soooo upset I seriously don't know what to do.  I wish I can just cancel everything with the resort, I hate this resort now.  This is suppose to be stress free.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
