Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

I am booked for the honeymoon suite, and if I need to make any changes I have until 60 days prior to wedding to do so. We like you are making it our honeymoon too, and staying a total of 10 nights. I am hoping to be upgraded to the master suite when we get there. Because I want me and my girls to get ready there and hopefully have enough room. I am going to schedule for the bridal suite to get all of the girls hair/make-up and nails done the morning of the wedding but then I want all of us to get ready in my suite and have some glasses of champagne and take pics before the ceremony.

LOVED YOUR PICS, made me tear up a little for the excitement of my own!!!! CONGRADS!!!

Anyone have pics of the jacuzzi area being the cocktail hour, that's what I have reserved and I was just wondering what their standard set-up is so that I can get decor or lighting if its needed. I have the ultimate package.

There are a few pics of the jacuzzi cocktail under "Sharon Garton's" album at johnandaubry.shutterfly.com. It had several tables for food, a small bar and several bar tables to eat at. Honestly, I don't remember much about the decor, but we weren't there long.

I would say pay for the honeymoon suite. It really is nice to have the nice patio view, and only the honeymoon, master and presidentials are on the end. For anyone taking kids. The master is nice, as you can close the sliding doors between through bed and the sleeper sofa.

As for the chairs, I think they use those at the beach weddings but I'll have to check my pics. They do use the same chairs for your ceremony and reception. They may not be very comfortable to sit in for the dinner, but I bet Ana could make it happen.

Anyone know if these are avilable and price???

I'm really excited 15 booked so far!!!!

She gave me a quote of $15 per chair and she won't move them from the ceremony site to the reception site - so if you have 25 people coming - you need to rent 50 chairs...25 for the ceremony and 25 for the reception - that was her email to me a while ago.  I am renting those chairs from Deco Cancun and it's $8 per chair which includes a $2 fee to move the chair from the ceremony site to the reception site.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
