Do any of you know if we have the choice for Juan Navarro still for the ceremony photography? It seems like the recent weddings have all been shot by Adventure Photos. Thanks!
Same here. I've e-mailed her 3 times in the past two weeks and I've heard nothing. At least she's responding to a few lucky girls.

Ana told me that the resort management wants their photographers only to be used for the packages but that they do not restrict other photographers because they know that photography is important for the brides. So, you could probably hire Juan Navarro on your own for your pictures, but that would be all on you and not included in the package. The Adventure Photos photographers are really great though!!
Thanks for the response! I know Juan Navarra used to be the resort photographer for DRC, which is why I was asking. Adventure seems good but I wish they just had more of a portfolio to look at like Juan Navarra does now. I think he went out on his own now so that is probably the problem. Thanks for the info!

Ok, this is making me very nervous as we've already booked our flight and hotel. I emailed Ana about this about a month a half ago and have not gotten a response from her. We are not getting legally married there, just the symbolic ceremony so I'm confused as to why we need to be there two days before? Is this just their preference or is that what is needed to plan everything?

I've also emailed her trying to upgrade our package and find out what we need to do as far as the deposit, etc. I know she's super busy but it's frustrating to have to wait over a month for an answer to a very simple question.

Ana finally got back to me! She told me that you can upgrade or downgrade your package up until you meet with her at the resort and you don't need to send a larger deposit (assuming you have already sent in the initial $100).

I am glad I got that answered however I asked 9 other questions and got none of those answered!!! But its a start at least.

Ok, I know that there is another post that I could put this under, but I figured I'ld post here too. I am wanting to put some cups in our OOT bags but I only need 20 or 25 of them. I was wondering if any of you brides would like to split an order of cups? I'm getting married in Oct but we could just do something like 2010 and Riviera Maya or something like that. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

I would guess most people wont use them, but thought this would be one less thing we have to hear people complain about. Ha! I'm really worried about some people having complaints. Just wondering if anyone else had thought about doing this. It looks like most options of earplugs come in a pack and are not individually wrapped. Any ideas on how to individually wrap those myself? I thought I would also include a little note...something like this - "So that you can relax completely, wear these earplugs while resting"
I actually thought the same thing after reading reviews and I DID include earplugs in the bags. I bought them from here in blulk and they came in invidual packages. I put 2 in each bag. I know of at least one person who used them. :)

I was going to do cups but have read reviews saying they didn't use them so now I am not sure. What cups were you thinking about?

I would also love to do bags like this. Is anyone interested in going in on bags too?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
