I am thinking that I will most likely have the ceremony on the beach. It does raise another question about what kind of shoes I will wear, but I'll figure it out.

Laura- as far as photographer goes, I am not sure what I am going to do. I mean, the package does come with one, but I think I will probably have someone else as well. Possibly a family member who is a photographer. But I would still use the one provided too, since he/she will already be paid for. I think we can do that at least...

Does anyone fully understand the difference between the Ultimate and Love package besides the obvious extra services? I guess I am referring more to the gold and silver menus. I am wondering what the big differences are.

I love this forum! Thanks to everyone for their input!
I have an email from Ana that lists the menus and the more expensive menus have more options, like steak and lobster.... ect. I can send it to you if you would like. If you want duel entrees then you should probably go with the platinum menu.... I am not sure how much you can do in regards to customizing these menus though.

I too love this forum! I can not wait to start seeing some pictures once the resort opens!!!

I also really appreciate all of the information from everyone here! This is great...I think that I would be lost if I had to do this without all the help from this forum!

Ashley - I think that if your photographer is staying there as a guest, then it is okay. I actually sent Ana an email today regarding outside photographers, so I will let you know what I find out.

Question about the menus....If you get the gold or silver menu, is there only one entree option? Is a buffet an option?

Thank you for the offer, Ebernard - please do send the menus to carinagirl@gmail

My travel agent is also a "destination wedding specialist" - she said with the amount of people I am expecting (guessing 60) that we would need to do a buffet.

I don't even know what the Platinum package is....

So do they have other promotions for the guest that need group booking? I do not really understand why they would not. My travel agent is having a very hard time getting a hold of anyone that really knows anything at the new dreams. Hopefully it will be easier after they open up.

He sent me back the rates and included in his email about the special promotion they have going on right now, the 3G, which is every 6th room is free! If he says weddings get the promotion then I would think all weddings would. If you run in to any trouble let me know and I can forwarded you his email to try and get them to get you the same promotion! What they do for one they should do for all!
Thanks girl please send me the email. And I can send it to my t.a.

we are planning a beach ceremony too. Just hope that they will be able to corner off the area from other guests sitting side-line. When we were in the Dominican they weddings were on the beach but the guests were sitting in their lounge chairs less than 20 feet away from the ceremony...anyone have any info about how/if they will be securing the area

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
